Firstly some disclaimers:

I don’t usually play Sims 3 for anything requiring rules. I hate the lag and the lack of Sims 2 options, like the Sim Blender and the multiple families in one hood.

Secondly, I hardly know how to use half the NRAAS options and I do suck at keeping

them alive without my maxmotives. I am cheat addict, I admit it freely.

Also rules like traits being random, it’s not officially in the Rainbowcy rules that they HAVE to be randomized so expect to see me send them to the hospital a lot (unless I

feel like I want to be random).

And lastly, I will probably be moving them every three generations because of SP taking away all my allowed spouses and stagnating genetics. I have all EP’s except Pets

by the way. Also lack of pictures is lacking.

Anyway, on with the show.

Page 3: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

And right off the bat before I can even show my founder or tell you that this is the Grey generation, I had her off getting a job in Science and I see “react to meteor” in her queue. Now, I have no idea what EP this came with it’s freakin terrifying. And it just happened to rain down right on her front lawn while the fire moths came fleeing over. Also Llama Boy there. I get the

message that there’s a fire on my home lot…

Page 4: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Yes, lovely way to start my first Sims 3 legacy…see the burned moth-ers? Those are the neighbours, and then Llama Boy FINALLY notices the huge ass fire on the front

lawn. So my founder, tried to put out the fire. And at the SAME time…

Page 5: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

The portal to the future appears right on her side lawn. And of course the Time Traveller Emit Relevart appears at the same time to start the “come to the future”

opportunities while the damn lawn is still on fire…oh yeah this challenge is going oh so well.

Page 6: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Now you see her, and still not a good shot of her. Well her name is Clear Arcenciel and she is the Grey generation. Why grey? Because according to one of the rules versions, generations 9 and 10 can

be black and white so I figured why not make generation 1 grey and combine the two so I can use new colours at the end. So without getting a proper intro, off to the future we go first. Yes, it excites

me to see it so there.

Page 7: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Welcome to Oasis Springs, ( I think that’s what it was called) and look it’s all decked out in grey and white, this is perfect for the Grey generation. The screen shakes as my

intrepid founder lands in the future. As soon as she does, I get the pop up telling me she has descendants living here. How she can have descendants already is weird enough, she

hasn’t even found a spouse or had kids yet…

Page 8: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Ooh, a beam of time energy…this is Clear arriving. And look how shiny everything is! Purty…

Page 9: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Clear: That was trippy…but oh so cool.

Indeed, let’s go exploring shall we?

Page 10: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Ah, finally an intro shot:

Clear Arcenciel: Grey generation

Flirty Great Kisser

Loves the Outdoors Gatherer

Green Thumb LTW: Master of the Arts

(max skill in painting and guitar)

Oh and she’s also a witch, so she can cast spells and pass on her occult typing to future generations. The green thing she has is called a Sprite, at this future lodge you can find this cute little thing on one of the tables whimpering because no one will play with her, yes it’s a her and her name is Harmony. Think holographic

virtual pets if you’re old enough to remember that fad.

Her favourites are:

French Toast, Indie music, and Red

Which is perfect since generation 2 will be Red.

Page 11: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

This is the house of her future descendants who are labelled as Destitute. Well she’s a poor legacy founder so of course she has no money yet. They weren’t home. But there are four of them here and the three females are witches so I guess it worked. Also they are genetic clones of her since she hasn’t had any kids yet. At least the descendants got

the colours right…that is one grey house.

Page 12: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Anyway, one of the opportunities in the future is to greet a Plumbot and ask it to explain its function. Once you do that, the next step is to alter the trait chips and give the Plumbot a high five. Clear automatically gets three trait chips when she arrives here. I only changed one and it made the owners of the Plumbot mad since she was being inappropriate…ahem. The guy she’s talking to is

named Atom Beaker (yes THOSE Beakers from Strangetown) and his wife/girlfriend/sister/whatever. I missed her name.

Page 13: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

She’s asking the Plumbot its function now. And Girl Beaker has a Sprite too. I have no idea what Atom’s thought bubble means but he really looks like Loki man…the

eyebrows. 0_0

Page 14: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

EEE cool! Holographic Guitar Hero! Sorry, but it’s cool and I never played Guitar Hero, I sucked at it. It sounds cool though. I need to get one of them.

Page 15: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Clear: So there was a Plumbot here the whole time? Why did I even go out to look for one?

Seems the future has a lack of good shows, I didn’t know the BV Bigfoot was still alive

doing the Kids channel in Sims 3…huh. Ooh, Holovision *starry eyes*

Page 16: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Clear: They have replicators here. I wanted to practice some future cooking skills but there’s no stove or fridge…good fake food though, very filling.

Page 17: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

And they have light screen beds, with no covers. And it’s yellow, boo. Anyway it’s nearly time to head back to the present and get this Rainbowcy started. I’m sure we’ll be back to the future later on like maybe after the generation Red babies are born. And then I can see how hard it is to nab a

potential spouse before SP gets the hooks into him and takes him away…which means I’ll probably have to cheat him in.

Page 18: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Speaking of spouses…meet Blair Churchill. He showed up in town and I could never get him to come over, he would get here then automatically turn right around and leave. Like I said I would have to cheat because honestly I don’t know if it was a glitch or whatever but I could not find his

house anywhere on the map so I added him to the house. *ducks rotten veggies* I told you I suck at Sims 3…Clear showed him her Sprite that came back from the future with her, she has two. The

other one is pink and called Kylee, she was also on a table whimpering so she took her too.

Page 19: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Blair came in as an adult so time was a-wasting on getting him before he crustified. But he wasn’t decked out in grey so I fixed him up in CAS…and a few other things like age *told you I cheat*. He’s human so the Red gen kids only have a 50% chance of being a witch. Anyway, I promise not to cheat ages again. This is my first generation and I’m

still trying to get used to Sims 3.

Page 20: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Date boosts help make this engagement acceptable, Blair was being stubborn before and refused Clear’s first kiss so I was stuck with a six hour Rejected for Kiss moodlet. *sigh* And she hates her Science job so I had nice red back to back Stressed out and Overworked moodlets. At least her plumbbob was her favourite colour of red. >_< No pictures because I was freaking out about her dying on me before the kids were even

born. Also Supernatural’s Full Moon Zombie Bash. I have no fence to keep them out.

Page 21: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Clear: Finally, she’s done ranting.

Blair: Yeah I was ready to stare at the sky sternly.

They can hear me? o_0? Oops. Good thing I have no idea how to add my simself to this place…

Page 22: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Clear: At least this time you didn’t reject my kiss.

Blair: Yeah, sorry about that. I was tired before.

Page 23: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Clear wanted to upgrade the stove to self-cleaning so she used her magically upgrade options. I love witches, not as much as fairies and vampires but still they do cool things like this. I do love the grey recolours of those pseudo- Sims 2 Seasons counters, I didn’t know they had stencilling on them. It

really shows them off.

Page 24: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Oh and she does work on her LTW skills by the way, it’s slow going. I have to resist cheating her skills to 10…yes I do that in Sims 3 I love my NRAAS controller. But I

will stop, I swear I will…I didn’t do it here by the way.

Page 25: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Gaah, Supernatural Full Moon green-out…but yes she finally did get pregnant and went into labour on the night of the full moon with two zombies roaming outside. I will have a better spouse

shot next time Blair actually got a good set of Traits that I like. He’s also self-employed as an Angler, one of his traits.

Page 26: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

I went for a hospital birth so I got to choose traits. Meet the first Red generation baby, a girl named Pomegranate. Pomegranates are round shaped fruits with little red bubbles inside. I call them bubbles because that’s what they look like, this is the part you eat. Also I love pomegranate

juice and it’s red.

Pomegranate is an Easily Impressed, Eccentric who likes Chinese music, chili and the colour Spiceberry.

Page 27: Arc-en-Ciel: A Sims 3 Rainbowcy Episode 1

Neutral future world is still awesome…anyway that’s all for this time folks. See you later, if there are any of you out there.

Next time on the Arc-en-Ciel Rainbowcy:

I could not think of something better to name it.
