All data and characteristics to be verified on a per-project basis.

Volter (UK) Ltd (trading as Arbor Heat and Power) and its suppliers reserve the right to amend the technical specification without notice. E&OE. The rated outputs and the specific fuel consumption assume an air temperature of 273 k and an air pressure of 1,013 mbar.

Fuel Consumption, Thermal and power outputs based on use of Arbor Heat and Power specified fuels. Use of other fuels may affect system performance and elligiblity for draw down of Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs) and other financial incentives.

Notes

• Flue height less than 1m and emissions less than natural gas

• Compatible with Arbor Heat and Power approved 100% renewable fuels eligible for draw down of Renewable Obligation Certicates (ROCs) and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

• Remote Monitoring and Control Capability, Energy Metering & Data Logging.

• Automatic Grid Synchronisation.

• Fully Compliant with G59/2 & UK wiring regulations.

• Provision of long term maintenance and fuel supply contracts by Arbor Heat and Power. Details available on request.

Application and Suitability Biomass FuelFuelled only by ‘woody’ biomass, it is ideal for customers that have an easily accessible on-site biomass resource – such as woodland. Furthermore, on-site fuel storage can be tailored to the customers’ requirements and site constraints.

Simple ConceptThe ArborElectroGen® system converts wood into gas that fuels a Combined Heat and Power system (CHP). Producing both heat and electricity, the system offers one of, if not, the most cost-effective ways to meet carbon reduction targets. This all happens in one pre-packaged containerised solution, perfect for simple integration with existing infrastructure. The generated heat can be used to provide on-site space heating and hot water, offsetting the need for traditional fossil fuel sources (e.g. natural gas, oil, LPG). Similarly, the generated electricity can be used to offset the need to import grid electricity - and at times when the electricity is not required it can be fed back into the grid.

Example Financial Calculation for an

ArborElectroGen® 30

Electricity Offset Value: £22,000

Heat Offset Value: £42,000*

ROC Revenue: £19,000

RHI Revenue: £43,000

Annual Costs1: £46,000

Annual Net Benefit: £80,0001Including fuel and maintenance. *Based on offsetting heating oil

Financial BenefitKey benefits of the ArborElectroGen® technology are that they qualify for government renewable incentive schemes:

• Heat generation qualifies for government fixed rate tariffs (RHI) for 20 years, which are index linked

• Power (Electricity) generation qualifies for the highest offered government incentives (ROCs) greater than either PV or Wind Turbines

• Reduces need for traditional energy sources

Automation

11. High level of automation enables unattended operation and remote control.

How it Works

Gas cooling and filtering

4. Cooling before the filtering phase (heat recovering) 5. Dry filtering system 6. Cooling to the final syngas temperature (heat

recovering) 7. Cooled and filtered gas to CHP engine

P.4

Fuel feeding and gasification

1. Fuel is fed from the wood store by screw and chain conveyors

2. Rotating feeder prevents free air flow to the reactor 3. Automation controls feeding level information from

the reactor level switches

Heat and electricity from the gas

8. Gas is fed to the engine9. Heat is recovered from engine and exhaust gas10. Engine turns the generator which produces clean

electricity
