The Powder River Quarter Horse Breeders Association would like to

welcome everyone to our 42nd Annual Powder River Quarter Horse

Breeders Assn. Sale. The PRQHBA Sale held in Broadus, MT is one of

the longest running Association sales in the United States and we are

proud to bring you a quality set of horses year after year. All horses

sold in the sale will be screened by the sale committee and attending

veterinarian.

New this year we have added a 2-Year-Old Futurity. This futurity will

be on Friday August 30th at the fair grounds. PRQHBA will also host an

AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse Show. This show is for 3yr old’s and up.

We invite you to come watch our AQHA VRH Show beginning at 8:00

AM on Saturday, August 31st then our performance yearling futurity on

Sunday, September 1st 8:00am. All sale horses will be previewed

following the futurity events on Sunday.

Food is available on the grounds so have some lunch, sit back and

Sale Terms & Conditions1. The auctioneer will sell each horse to the highest

bidder and will settle any dispute which may arise a

to the bids and buyers.

2. Payment must be made in full to the clerk of the

sale immediately following the sale. Cash ,Credit

Card (4% fee) & approved check in US FUNDS will

be accepted.

3. All consignments will be at the Multi-Purpose

building at the fairgrounds by Saturday evening the

day before the sale. You are invited to contact

individual consignors personally for more

information about specific horses.

4. All statements or printed matter pertaining to the

horses selling through this auction are made to the

best of our knowledge. Sellers are completely

responsible for papers being in order. PRQHBA will

hold proceeds until papers are in order!

5. Comments on Sale Day will take precedence

over printed material or internet information.

6. All buyers will sign an “Acknowledgement of

Purchase” when you get your buyers number.

Please write clearly,

giving full name and address. Registration papers

will be mailed to the name and address provided on

this form.

7. Horses purchased become the property of

the buyer upon the fall of the gavel and the

buyer assumes all risk and expense of the

horse from this time forward.

8. Every horse must have a brand release before it

leaves the building and a paid receipt must be

presented to the brand inspector before a brand

release will be issued..

9. A veterinarian and brand inspector will be

present at the sale. Sale horses are required to

have Coggins Test to be in the sale.

10. All buyers are responsible for removal of their

purchases from the area the same day as the

sale. Thereafter, the buyer is responsible for

making arrangements for appropriate care of their

horses(s).

11.All horses are offered for sale according to the

laws of the State of Montana. Buyers will pay a

brand inspection fee that will be added to the

purchase price of the horse when making settlement.

12.Unless otherwise announced at the time of the

sale by the owners from the auctioneer, there is no

guarantee or warranty of any kind as to the

soundness or condition of any horse in the sale.

13.Each horse’s registration papers will be withheld

by the sales management until the buyer’s check has

cleared the bank. At such time, the papers along

with transfer certificate will be mailed to each buyer.

14. Powder River Quarter Horse Breeders

Association acts as an agent only, but will endeavor

to protect the interest of both buyer and seller

15. All bred mares must have a vet certificate no

more than 15 days old stating the pregnancy status

or the mare will be sold as exposed to a stallion.

Once a mare is sold, there can be no refusal to pay

because of pregnancy status.

16 hand dun gelding raises by John Eisenbraun and used on his ranch his whole life. We have used Snake at our won place for the last 3 years. Snake has been used on barrels at play days, heading steers and in many ranch rodeos. Snake also was on the third place team at the Black Hills Roundup Ranch Rodeo.
