Homeowner Association Dues Everyone who owns a home in Grand Valley is a Member of the Grand Valley Homeowners Association. However, only those homeowners who have paid their annual dues of $6.00 are Members in Good Standing. The Homeowners Association (HOA) was duly formed and incorporated under Florida Statute 617 on July 6, 2001 with the Florida Department of State. Reference Florida Statute 723.075(1) last sentence “Upon incorporation and service of the notice described in s.723.076 the association shall become the representative of the mobile home owners in all matters relating to this chapter.” Why sit back and not pay your dues and allow others to represent you at meetings, put forth their suggestions, and especially allow others to cast a vote (yea/nay) on matters that may affect your way of life style here in the park. Please contact Gene Brooks, Treasurer, @ 727-841-9875, 8008 Bull Run, and pay yours dues, it is important to you and to the HOA. Nick Bell President, HOA

Scrapbooking/Cardmaking We’re still scrapping/cardmaking at 1 p.m. Wednesdays in the clubhouse. Bring your photos and paper supplies. All crafters welcome. April 3 & 10 Doris will teach a two-part class on German Papercutting. Bring small (manicure) scissors, cutting board and an exacto knife. Questions? Call Patty @ 815-8730 or Laurel @ 842-1858.

“Friends Going North Cook-Out” Saturday April 20th 1:00 PM – 4:00PM. Cost is $5.00 per person. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Baked Beans, Salad and Soda. Music by our own D. J. Larry. This event is open to all residents of the park.

Upcoming Events – Please Mark Your Calendar

May 18th Memorial Day “Pizza Party” July 4 Independence Day “Ice Cream Social”

Ladies Lunch The Ladies Luncheon will be held on April 9 at Kally K’s, located on Commercial Way in Spring Hill, Florida. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. Please indicate if you will need transportation to the luncheon. The lunch will be served at 1:00 PM. Come and join us for an afternoon of fun and great food. For more information contact Sis Pickles @ 580-5958 or Pat Blake @ 849-98311.

Social Activities The Board of Directors is interested in forming a Social Activities Committee to help with the organizing and planning the social activities for the Grand Valley Home Owners Association (GVHOA). The committee will have six to seven members who will meet and act as a whole in presenting the various activities ideas to the Board. The committee members must be members in good standing of the GVHOA. The committee will appoint a chairman for each social event that has been approved. The chairman will form his/her committee to work on that event. One goal of having a Social Committee is to bring forth more social functions that will be enjoyed by the members. Two new social events, Western Night and the Prom proved to be successful and were enjoyed by the members that attended those functions. Hopefully the newly appointed social committee will be able to layout a social event calendar that everyone will enjoy and support. If you are interested in serving on the committee, just place your name and phone number in the suggestion box in the Grand Valley clubhouse. You will be contacted when the first meeting will be held.
