flskr April Newsletter 2019 Fun with the Ones Dear Parents, As Spring bursts into bloom, it brings new life to the earth. Our Spring break is just around the corner. May it be filled with joyful family moments! Our back field has gotten nice and soggy as the snow melted. We already have had a few puddles “jump” onto some very unsuspecting grade one students. Thank you to those parents who checked their child’s extra clothes and socks on the night of student led conferences. You never know when one of those puddles will pounce! Thank you for labelling rubber boots and spring coats. The children don’t always recognize their belongings and the names help me to return found items to their owners. We do not have any April birthdays to celebrate! Show and Tell: Spring and all It’s Things! Up and Coming Events We will have several activities and events this month and next month to mark on your calendar: 1. School Resumes – Monday, April 1, 2019

10. Our Senses In-School Fieldtrip – Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm – 4 parent helpers are needed for this field trip to occur. Please contact Mrs. Johnston ASAP if you are able to help us for the afternoon.
Looking ahead…11. Edmonton Symphony Performance – May 13, 2019 - 12:00-3:00 pm- wear your Sunday best today!!
12. Arbor Day Celebration – May 3 from 11:30- 2:45. We will be going to Festival Place to learn about trees and our environment. Please let your me know know if you are able to be a parent helper for this field trip.
