April Meeting Location H ere is your friendly reminder that the club is having an AKC Sanction B Match, fun match and chili cook-off on Saturday, March 5. Bring your bullies for a special handling class starting at 9:30 AM. Enter your puppies in the matches right after the handling class. Entries in the matches are $5 each and can be made on site. Ribbons and glory can be yours! After the matches, fetch chili and snacks with club members and guests. All are invited. Bring a friend. Email [email protected] to have your best dragon stew included in the chili cook-off. The March PCBC General Meeting will be right after the chili cook-off. Watch this space and the Event Calendar on page 8 for updates to the April General Meeting location. Subject to Board approval at the March General Meeting, the April General Meeting will be held at 7 PM at El Cholo Mexican Restaurant, 8200 E Santa Ana Canyon Rd, Anaheim, CA 92808. Join your friends for dinner at El Cholo at 6 PM ahead of the General Meeting. Note that there will be a Board meeting also starting at 6 PM at nearby tables. The Board will join the member- ship for the 7 PM General Meeting. The May General Meeting will be held at Mission Circuit and feature continental breakfast and a special education module. There will be no club meeting in June, July or August. If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to renew your PCBC membership. Your mem- bership will lapse if not renewed this month! President, Scott Johnson, called the meeting to order at 7:06 PM. Meeting held at Northkirk Presbyter-ian Church.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS ROLL CALL:

MINUTES of the January 13, 2015, meeting. Motion to approve as written by Lesley DeHaas. Second by Lalaine Pol-

icar. Motion passed.

TREASURER’S REPORT (Cyndee Paulus): As of 2/6/2016, savings balance is $15,002.23. Checking balance of $11,727.27. Audit of 2015 show financials is complete. Audit of 2015 year end books is in progress. Cyndee Paulus resigned as Treasurer, effective February 29, 2016.

CORRESPONDENCE (Cindy Liebeck):

1. AKC: The club’s Senior Event Operations Representative, Monique Arrington passed away unexpectedly. Monique was with AKC for over 17 years. She was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. She will be missed. Her replacement has not been identified.

2. BCA Division III: Invitation to hold a fundraising generic show supporting the 2019 National was received and shared with the membership.

3. AKC: Application for March Fun Match submitted. 4. Insurance rider for church for March Fun Match submitted; receipt of rider confirmed with insurance company.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

AKC Delegate (Link Newcomb) - none; Link will miss the PCBC March General Meeting because he will be en route to NY AKC meeting.

AKC Education (Scott Johnson) - The BCA color presentation was reviewed during the February General Meeting.

Auditing (Link Newcomb) - 2014 Audit report and its recommendations were approved at the 1/27 Board meeting. As mentioned in the Treasurer’s report, Cyndee Paulus reconciled club books to 2015 show report. 2015 year end audit report to be presented at the April meeting.

BCA Update (Lesley DeHaas) - Seaside Spectacular is the name now assigned to the cluster featuring the Division III Specialty.

Bullpup (Cindy Liebeck) - Several eagle-eyed paw hunters responded. March Bullpup will feature the winner! March form rotation calls for inclusion of entry forms for the Specialty. Should trophy donation forms also be included?

Breeder’s Match & Futurity Event, October 2016 (Cyndee Paulus, Sherian Evans) - none

Challenge Trophies (Renee Benjamin) - Renee brought a signup sheet requesting sponsors for the tro-phies.

Champion Awards (Scott Johnson) - A few people have shown interest. Champion Award applications are available on the web-site and the February Bullpup.

Social Media (Antonio Lemes) - Antonio received a few photos and information on the show which have been published.

Specialty (Scott Johnson) - We have had a few face-to-face meetings. Good progress on trophies was reported. As in years past, support of the directors, officers and members present was requested for trophy donations. Link New-comb volunteered to get prizes for Bingo. Cindy Liebeck reported that a request for quote has been submitted to 3 ribbon vendors. Lesley DeHaas volunteered to be Ring Steward supporting all 5 events, Thursday afternoon through Sunday, for both Bulldog Club of Greater San Diego and Pacific Coast Bulldog Club. Kay Gray reported that Dr. Butchko will be present for the clinic.

Rescue Committee (Debra Munt) - Saturday is adoption event on Kramer in Orange. 9-11 AM. 17th and Tustin is location. Bulldog beauty contest is this week-end.

Website (Sherry Webb) - Did not discuss web contest prizes. Some directors requested Sherry Webb’s presence at the meeting to close this item.

OLD/UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 1. Perpetual Futurity Trophy: Resolution of conflicting actions needed.

October meeting (10/14) action was to update trophy and continue using it.

November meeting (10/31) action was to retire the trophy and transition to plaques. No address of prior open action was made.

From January: Lesley DeHaas moved that the perpetual trophy be replaced by March. Second Cyndee Paulus. After discussion, Lesley DeHaas withdraws her motion. ACTION: Sherian Evans research trophy options and report back to the club. Sherian estimates cost at $80-$100 and will bring pictures to a future meeting.

2. Location of meeting closer to Orange County: nothing resolved. A location is still being sought.

NEW BUSINESS: 1. Vote in new member Joy Iwasko. Lesley moved to accept the new member. Kay Gray second. Motion passed. 2. Bulldog Color Dilemma - BCA educational review presented to the meeting attendees.

BRAGS NETTED: $6. There being no further business, Lesley DeHaas moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:56 PM. Lalaine Policar second. Respectfully submitted, Cindy Liebeck
