Mrs. Roussell’s Classroom Newsletter April 4 th – April 8 th This Week’s Assignments Reading –Now that we have researched George Washington Carver, the students will be working on a Bio Poem and timeline of his life. Writing – Students are finished researching and will now begin their reports. Spelling – Students will be working in their Words Their Way groups on a particular word sort. Math – This week we will continue our review of the many math concepts we have covered this year. We will really focus on a review of Geometry this week. Tiger Time – We will continue working through MAP like questions and discussing test taking strategies like pacing yourself, what to do if you don’t understand a question, what to do if your answer isn’t one of the options available, and many other strategies. Reminders to Parents 1. Remember to check the blog for new pictures and updates. 2. Check your child’s assignment book nightly and ask them about their day at school. Important Dates MAP Testing: April 12 th – 14 th MAP Reward Movie : April 15 th Carver Field Trip : April 20 th (We will be leaving at 8:45 in the morning – don’t be late!!!) Good Friday/No School: April 22 nd Something to Talk About!
