Dancing to caller Micky Blunk were Chris Burns, Rick Jones, Earlean Wagner, Marylou Hoffman, Muriel Greenwood, Donna Holmes, Lowell Jay and Bill & Jackie Brown Dale Houser, Earlean Wagner, Marylou Hoff-man, Muriel Greenwood and Tom & Kristine Hofmann celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with the Cowtown Singles at their St. Paddy’s Potluck Dance” on March 17

th.

Although they weren’t going on a Club Visit-ations, Club members were out dancing any-way. On Saturday, March 18

th, Earlean

Wagner, Marylou Hofman, Tom & Kristine Hoffman and Andy & Lorie Abeles were at the Grape Stompers’ March dance. On March 13

th, Twirlers Al & Carol Pitchard,

tom & Kristine Hoffman, Muriel Greenwood, Dale Houser, Michele & Richard Knowles, Marylou Hofman, Donna holmes & Lowell jay, Chris Burnes, Rick Jones,Earlean Wag-ner, Emmy Bell and friends, John & Claire Hanson and Olivia Gomez drove out to the Jojoba ESKP RV Park in Aguanga to dance with Johnny Preston’s square dance class. It was a beautiful day for a drive in the country. VISITATION POT: Randy Gibson’s name was drawn from the Visitation Pot. Randy was at the dance and had attended the Twirler visitation to Sunkissed Squares on February 25

th so he

went home $30 richer. After the win, the pot begins again with $10.

BOARD MEETING BRIEFS: The Twirler Board met on March 20

th.

The following things were discussed: We still have not received the new guidelines for Clubs ordering food from the Lodge so we have no idea how the guidelines will affect the cost of food we order for our April dance. Joe Hen-derson will go to the POA and see if he can obtain a copy. It was decided to have an Eat & Meet Fundraiser at the Menifee Pizza Facto-ry. The class people will be invited so it will be a good time for everyone to get to know each other as well as earn a little money for the Club. The follow-ing Tuesday, at Workshop, after polling the Angels and Class members, it was decided to hold the Meet & Eat on Wednesday, April 6

th at 5:30.

The Board is looking for ideas for fund-raisers to off-set the cost of using the K.C, Center for our dances and work-shop. A bake sale was one idea that was mentioned beside our restaurant fundraisers.

PRESIDENTS’ MESAGE: What a turn out we had for our first night at the Kay Ceniceros Center on Tuesday, March 7

th. A big thank you

to everyone who came. It was great to see you there and I hope you will all continue to come. Ten people be-gan class that night and they are pick-ing up the new calls and moving ahead quickly. It is so exciting! Attendance at our Anniversary Dance in March was beyond our expecta-tions. We hadn’t seen so many peo-ple at one of our dances in a long time. That was the reason we ran short on food and we apologize if you didn’t get anything to eat—we just didn’t expect such a large crowd. It would be nice if it continued.

ELECTIONS-- 2017-2018 TWIRLER BOARD—THE CLUB NEEDS YOU! Elections are in June. By our May dance, we will need a slate of officers for the 2017-18 Twirler Board to pre-sent to the membership. Right now we know we will have vacancies for the 4 main positions: (Co-) President, Vice President, Hospitality (with Ron) and Co-Secretary (with Muriel) and several others (See attachment for a complete list). Please consider taking one of the positions or being on a team to cover a position.
