For our skaters at Culver Ice Arena, we have spoken to Culver Ice Arena

management regarding maintaining Culver as a satellite facility to our club. We would like to continue servicing our members at

It  takes  a  village…Did  you  know  that  we  have  dedicated  volunteers  who  spend  over  40  hours  a  week  during  and  leading  up  to  our  competitions?  

They  attend  to  details  such  as:• scheduling• practice  ice• of@icials’  and  coaches’  hospitality                                      .  .  .  and  more

Just  a  few  extra  hands  for  a  few  hours  helps  A  LOT!    Especially  in  the  climate  in  which  our  events  take  place.  

Did  you  know  that  monitors  get  the  best  seats  in  the  house?    Music  technicians  and  announcers  know  who  is  skating  and  when,  registration  volunteers  get  to  see  everyone  who  walks  in  and  out  and  really  get  to  sense  the  heartbeat  of  the  event.  If  you  love  to  hostess  and  organize,  hospitality  is  for  you!    

Please  take  a  moment  to  think  about  your  gifts  and  areas  of  expertise,  and  how  can  you  help  your  club  by  doing  something  you  enjoy.

California Gold Synchronized Skating teams conclude their 2012 season with both the Senior and Novice teams showing incredible growth. December, they traveled to the Dr. Richard Porter Classic in Ann Arbor, MI competing against teams from the U.S. and Canada. In January, the Novice team traveled to the Pacific Coast Sectionals in Dearborn, MI and won the Silver Medal. Days later, California Gold/Senior Team USA, was off to Rouen, France for the French Cup. The 2012 French Cup was a challenging competition with the top junior and senior teams around the world competing for the top monetary prize. California Gold placed a respectable 7th behind six world teams. Both teams finished their season at the 2012 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in Worcester, MA. We are so proud of all the accomplishments the California Gold skaters have earned this season.

California Gold is looking forward to a competitive and enthusiastic 2012/2013 season. Seeking skaters for Senior,

Novice, Collegiate and Adult teams, Synchronized Team skating utilizes and advances freestyle and dance skills at all levels. California Gold also has a Beginner team at the

East West Ice Palace skating school. If you are looking for a challenge - try synchronized skating!

The Heartbreakers Ice Theater team came from a small rink in Huntington Beach, where Spring Productions were the heart and soul of the skating community. Seeking an outlet to express their love of skating and performing throughout the year, 8 years ago, the Heartbreakers took their first step on the ice together as a team. Today, original members of the team find themselves in both local professional shows, traveling the globe and competing collegiately.

The Heartbreakers are proud to have survived the closing of 2 rinks, finding a home for themselves at Glacial Garden in Lakewood, in 2008. Now 19 skaters strong, the team has officially made the switch from Production to Theater on Ice.

Currently coached by Laura Wishart and Dorsie Brooks, the Heartbreakers will make their debut at Ice Theater Nationals this June in Ohio, skating at the Junior level. “We are thrilled to be skating for All Year FSC and part of the USFS ice theater family.”
