April 13
Last week Student Council ran a wonderfully fun week for students and
staff. Student participation was high and it was fun for all. Thank you to student
council.
This week, Grade 5S worked hard to construct a cubic
metre. Groups worked together in teams and to build the
structure. Great teamwork!
Mrs. Sullivan’s grade 2 class was engaged in a hands on group activity
where they weighed objects using non-standard units on balance
scales.
We have once again run into the issue of students being left at
the school well beyond operational hours. School ends at 2:10
and therefore if your child does not participate in an after
school activity they should be picked up no later than 2:30.
There is NO supervision after this time! If students are involved
in after school activities they should be picked up by 3:15 (1:15
on Tuesdays). PLEASE DO NOT PRESUME THAT THE SCHOOL
CAN CARE FOR YOUR CHILD AFTER THESE HOURS, staff do have
other commitments and should not be expected to change
their plans to care for children left beyond school hours. We
will try to arrange for after-hours care 2017-2018 if required
but for this year this is not possible.
Have a wonderful April break
