Musical Medicine
Need a mood lift? How about something to calm your
nerves? The answer may lie in your radio or compact
disc player.
“The music we listen to affects how we feel, think
and act, ”says Elizabeth Miles, the author of Tune Your
Brain: Using Music to Manage Your Mind, Body and
Mood. She suggests:
Try Latin music, or music with a lively, steady beat to
energize.
Gregorian chants may relax. They are soothing and
simple.
Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” will lift your heart. It
begins slowly but moves toward a glorious and
victorious ending.
The stormy, tragic tones of a Tchaikovsky piano
concerto may help tears flow so you can release pent up
emotions.
The methodical pace of Vivaldi’s “The Four
Seasons” is good for focus and concentration.
Listen to all the beautiful sounds all around you.
Father God, teach me to use music, meditation and
prayer rather than relying on harmful habits.
FROM FR. BOB
The Parish Office will be closed Monday, April 2nd.
Congratulations to John Cavanaugh and
Diane Davidson who were recently married at
Corpus Christi. May Jack & Diane continue
to grow in their love for each other and their God.

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT Alleluia! Christ is risen and is victorious over sin and death! We are good stewards of our faith if, like St. Paul, we share this good news whenever and wherever we can.
Elementary Our students had so much fun on the St. Patrick’s Day float. A grateful thanks go out to the staff and parents that made this float so special. For the 4thyear in a row, the All Saints float has been an award winner! Another successful reading night at the elementary as students dressed as their favorite book characters. Thanks to our Home and School volunteers who make these events so successful! Middle School / High School March Madness activities were enjoyed by students and staff alike. Seniors won the Dress-Up Days contest and the euchre tournament. The Freshmen ruled the basketball tournament while the sophomores triumphed on the volleyball court. Middle and High School students are going to view the musical presentation of Jesus’ Passion: The Cross and the Light in Mt. Pleasant. Grades 6-8 are heading to Dearborn to take in the Henry Ford Museum in April as well. In the Did You Know category – Still looking for parents and alumni to participate in the Hoops for Homeless charity basketball game against Nouvel. Come be our ringer as the Cougars take on the Panthers on Friday, April 13 at Delta College. It all counts – players, spectators, food donations, money donations and crowd noise! It’s a wonderful gathering to benefit the rescue missions. For more information, please contact Maribeth Hopps at 989-892-2533, x205.
Cougar Corner
The National Honor Society of All Saints Central will be
sponsoring the Annual Senior Citizen Luncheon. The
event will be held on Tuesday, April 17 at Village Hall.
The event is FREE but you MUST have a ticket to
attend. Tickets are available in the Parish Office. Space is
limited so get your tickets early.
SPONSOR OF THE WEEK
Reverence Hospice is in need of volunteers for our
hospice program. Volunteers are needed to provide in home
visits to hospice patients. A caring presence allows family
members the chance to run errands and get a break from
caregiving, or lonely patients to have visits from a new
friend. Volunteers are also needed for administrative
assistance, special events, and fundraising. Our patients
reside in Saginaw and Bay Counties and a volunteer can
choose the geographic areas that are most convenient to
them. The scheduling depends on patient needs and
volunteer availability. Your talents are appreciated whenever
you are available. If you are interested please complete an
application via the link/website below or contact Andrea
LLMSW directly at (989) 274-4400. Spread the word!
Card Party Follow Up Our 2018 Altar Sodality Card Party
was a huge success! A sincere thank
you to all parishioners who bought tickets, prepared
food, donated prizes, attended and/or worked at the
party. A special thank you to all the local businesses
who generously donated prizes for our raffles. The
funds raised at the Card Party are used to pay for the
cleaning of the sanctuary, laundering of the church
linens, and other church expenses. Thank you again for
all of your support!
