ACCOMMODATION

The Residences of SASUM have the following:

• Laundries that work on a self-service system, with washing and dryingmachines;

• Study and computer rooms;• Meals rooms (equipped with microwave, TV and fridge);• WiFi access.

• At the Residence of Azurém there is a snack bar and a few metersaway is the Sports Complex of Azurém where the medical office isinstalled;

• Next to the Residence of St. Tecla there is a snack bar and aCanteen, and a Fitness Center is also available.

ACCOMMODATION RULES

The most important rules are:

DO NOT

• Give third parties the room key and access card to the Residence;

• Grant accommodation to third parties without authorization;

• Make noise;

• Consume alcoholic beverages;

• Cause any damage to the structure of the Residence, its equipment and/or goods.

• Medical and Gynecological consultations: free of charge;

• Psychological Consultations: price = 20€;

• Nursing services: prices according to table attached in situ.

FOOD AND CATERING DEPARTMENT

• The Food and Catering Department includes food units in Braga and Guimarães which

support the university community. There are 5 food complexes consisting of 25 units in total.

• The aim of this department is to serve subsidized, quality meals in Canteens in the

Campus of Gualtar, in the Social Residence of St.ª Tecla and in the Campus of

Azurém.

• Also, we offer alternative units for the University community, as is the case of the

Panoramic Restaurant, 2 grills, various snack bars, vending machines and a

Takeaway service.

• The University of Minho has two sport complexes (Gualtar-Braga and Azurém-Guimarães)

and a Fitness Center at the Sta. Tecla student’s residence.

• The department’s fundamental objective is to provide quality sports services. It is therefore

equipped with 7.050m2 of excellent sports facilities offering about 70 activities supported by

about 30 technicians and qualified instructors.

• The department aims at continuous improvement.
