Origin and Breeding: ‘KLECA15269’ was bred and developed by the breeder, Anita Stoever, in Stuttgart, Germany. It

originated from a controlled cross conducted in 2011 in Stuttgart, between the female parent ‘CA-2009-1014’ and the male

parent ‘CA-2010-2116’. From the resulting progeny, selections were made, in 2012, for plant growth habit, double flower

type and flower colour. Theses selections were further evaluated in 2013 -2014 using the criteria of time of flowering, plant

habit and stability of the double-type flower. In July 2014, a single seedling was selected for commercialization and named

‘KLECA15269’.

Tests and Trials: The comparative trial for ‘KLECA15269’ was conducted in a polyhouse during the summer of 2017 at

BioFlora Inc., in St. Thomas, Ontario. It included a total of 20 plants each of the candidate and reference variety. The plants

were grown from rooted cuttings, with 4 cuttings transplanted into each of five, 26 cm hanging baskets per variety in March

2017. Unless otherwise indicated, the observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants or 10 parts of plants on June

27, 2017. All colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
