H.C.R. goalsThe organizers, the Japan National Council of Social Welfare, and the Health and Welfare Information Association, pursue the creation of a better exhibition in order to achieve the following goals:
Characteristics of H.C.R.
1. H.C.R. has been continuously held for many years, and established as the exhibitionfor the welfare and nursing care fields.
H.C.R. began as the “Exhibition of Modernized Health Care Equipment in Social Welfare Facilities”, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (currently the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) andthe Japan National Council of Social Welfare which has been a national center for Japanese welfare, and hasover 40 years of performance records and recognition.
2. H.C.R. is the largest one-stop exhibition in Asia, where people can conduct businessnegotiations, match needs and seeds, and share information about nursing care,welfare and health fields in Japan and abroad.H.C.R. is not just an exhibition for business negotiations, due to the diversity and international nature of theexhibitors and visitors. Participants can explore new business partners, the advance into overseas markets,and product development during the 3-day exhibition.
3. All stakeholders in the welfare and nursing case fields gather at the same time.
The more than 120,000 people visiting H.C.R. are international and diverse, such as executives andemployees of welfare service/nursing care facilities and institutions, manufacturers and distributors ofhomecare and rehabilitation equipment, national/municipal government officials, industrial promotionorganization staff, research institution staff, and elderly and disabled persons and their families.

2. Improve the quality of services in rehabilitation and care for elderly and disabled members of oursociety.
3. Promote the availability and appropriate use of home care & Rehabilitation Equipment.
4. Development in homecare and rehabilitation equipment and related businesses.
5. Identify and training qualified personnel to work in the areas welfare, rehabilitation, and nursing care.
6. Support expansion into welfare and nursing care services.

Questionnaire results of exhibitors and visitorsAccording to the questionnaires to exhibitors, 99.1% of respondents showed interests to participate at H.C.R. 2019.
According to questionnaires to visitors, more than half of the respondents came to the exhibition to look for a product for themselves or a family member to use at a facility, or in-home care. Of these, 75.5% responded that they are involved in a product installation in their care.

1. Qualified exhibitors and suitable products
(1) Qualified exhibitors
A company acknowledged by the organizers to fall under any of the following can participate in the exhibition. If the organizers deem a company is not qualified, or that it is in a patent infringement or other dispute, and it is expected that it may cause damage to a third party, the organizers may not accept (may refuse) the application.
Companies engaged in the facility welfare service or in-home welfare service-related businesses are not qualified exhibitors. (See (2) Suitable products)
i. Company or organization that manufactures or distributes home care and rehabilitation equipmentii. Company or organization engaged in home care and rehabilitation equipment rentalsiii. Company or organization that manufactures computer software, etc., that may be exhibitediv. Public organization, public-service corporationv. Welfare organization, research institution
(2) Suitable products
Suitable products are home care and rehabilitation equipment that promotes independent lifestyles of elderly and disabled persons (and children), and nursing care equipment and goods.Products other than those described in General Information are unsuitable. (See "Exhibits" on page 5.) If the organizers deem that a product does not meet the conditions for an exhibit, the application to participate cannot be accepted.
In addition, the organizers do not allow participants to bring products that cannot be exhibited to the venue, and if an exhibitor showcases a product other than those that may be exhibited, the organizers will immediately remove the said exhibit. (Any statements related to the following cannot also be added/inserted to the posted material, or to material to be distributed on the day.)
(Examples of unsuitable products)
i. "Products for the purpose of general health maintenance and improvement", "Products that are not generally deemed to be "welfare goods/equipment"e.g., massager, relaxation machine, health futon, pressure-point pusher, health foods, water filter, water server,
healthy supporter, beauty equipment/goods, various antiallergic products [to counter formaldehyde, sick-house syndrome etc.], play equipment not mainly for the purpose of rehabilitation, products to counter lifestyle-related diseases, stone sauna, foot bath, etc.
ii. “Products for the purpose of therapy and healing, etc.” for which the organizers cannot see the presence or absence of an effect of the product. e.g., doll, stuffed toy, animal therapy-related, reminiscence therapy-related, music therapy-related, horticultural
therapy-related, light therapy, aromatherapy, stress relief product, etc.iii. “General recreational goods” unless the products are specially designed for disabled persons (children).
e.g., sports/recreation goods, harvesting/farming/production kit, etc. iv. “Daily general consumables” unless the products are mainly designed for use by the elderly and disabled, or by
welfare facilities.e.g., shampoo, conditioner, soap, hand soap, skin cream, bathing powder, hair brush, laundry detergent,
sterilized wet wipes, stationery etc. v. 'Service' which cannot be exhibited, or visitors cannot see, feel, or instantly check the quality
e.g., i) facility welfare service-related information (e.g., information on a nursing home, day service, group home, welfare facility design service business, etc., and their business operators)

vi. Products whose safety is questioned by an institution/organization for product safety inspection (such as National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan), and whose safety is not yet confirmed.
vii. "Devices for medical treatment, etc." except for some devicese.g., general overall devices for medical treatment, etc., infrared radiation therapy, static electricity and electron
therapy, magnetic induction therapy, acupressure, manipulative therapy, acupuncture and moxibustion. "Some devices" which fall under the suitable products Medical equipment that is usually used in a welfare facility or home nursing site, and that can be used by people who do not have a special qualification.
viii. Products classified as a medical device (including photos, posters) by the Japanese Pharmaceutical Affairs Laws
2. Booth fee and specifications
(1) Booth Fee
a. Basic booth: 324,000 yen per booth (including tax)
[Booth Specification]• Basic booth is installed by the organizers, using system wall panels in a unified manner.
• 1 basic booth (9sqm): 3.0m (width) x 3.0m (depth) x 2.7m (height) [inside dimensions: 2,930mm (w) x 2,930mm (d) x 2,700mm (h)]
• The above fee includes floor space, basic booth installation cost, one company name board in the organizers' specified format, LED light installation cost (40W × 2, including electricity charge). Carpet is not included.
[Booth Style]• Linear booth: side by side, a maximum of 5 booths No side panels will be installed on the aisle side of a corner booth.
• Peninsula booth: three sides adjacent to the aisle, 2x2 booths (4 booth units) or 2x3 booths (6 booths units) may be requested regardless of single or joint participation. The terms and conditions for basic booth decoration shall apply.) A system wall panel of 6 m(width) x 2.7m (height) is to be installed by the organizers on the remaining side adjacent to another company's booth.

• All display fixtures exceeds 2.7 m height must be installed with a setback of 1 m or more from all four sides of the booth boundary.
Linear style: a maximum of 5 booths *L-shape style is not available.
Peninsula style: 2 x 2 =4 booths or 2 x 3 =6 booths *You cannot request two booths.
b. Island booth: 313,200 yen per booth (including tax)

• An island booth is one with aisles on all four sides, to be delivered as a vacant booth (space only)• minimum of 6 booths up to 100 booths (1 booth (9sqm): 3.0m (width) x 3.0m (depth), 6 m height limit for
decorations) • The one-side length is 6m or more in 3 m increments per unit. Request on depth size is not granted.
(2) Other costs to be borne by the exhibitor
Exhibitors are responsible for consumption tax (8% consumption tax is charged upon all prices with adherence to the Consumption Tax Act in Japan) and other costs below. The document and application form regarding expenses (*a separate application required) is scheduled to be sent out on June 21 (Fri.), 2019.
3. Joint participation
(1) Both basic and island booths may be jointly occupied by two or more companies. When you submit the application, please put a checkmark in the "joint participation" section, and write the names of the jointly participating companies and the number of booths.

(2) In the case of joint participation, each of the jointly participating companies or organizations is requested to submit the application. The application cannot be accepted until the organizers confirm that all joint participating companies or organizations have submitted their applications.
(3) A single exhibitor is required to apply for one or more booths. (One booth cannot be shared between two companies to exhibit.)
(4) Booth style and display format of exhibiting company are as follows.
◆ As shown in the above figure, the exhibitors' names are displayed in alphabetical order or in the order of the Japanese syllabary in the booth map.
◆ In the "List of exhibitors", each company is displayed. (In the above case, each company is displayed in alphabetical order.)
◆ In the guidebook and online product information page (see page 14, and 15), each company name is shown.

The conditions are different in the case of having an island booth jointly with Japanese exhibitor(s). If you have any questions, please inquire to the organizers.
4. Application procedure and required documents
Applicants participating in the exhibition for the first time and applicants formerly participated in the exhibition but did not participate last two years (2017 and 2018) are requested to submit the following documents to H.C.R. 2019 Organizer’s Office.

(1) All applicants are requested to submit the application to the Organizer's Office before the deadline. The application cannot be submitted through a third party, such as an advertising agency.

* Japan Standard Time (JST)* When the number of applications for participation exceeds the scheduled number of booths, the organizers may close the application
process early without prior notice.
(3) To apply to participate in the exhibition, companies/organizations which are qualified exhibitors shall accept in advance and be committed to following all items in the Rules for Participating in the Exhibition, and all matters stated in the Participation Conditions. In this respect, the organizers will not accept any objections at any time in the future. Please be sure that you review exhibits (See "Exhibits" on page 5) and products that cannot be

(4) When companies/organizations that formely participated in the exhibition have major changes to the corporate profile or product(s) to exhibit this year, please submit the updated documents to the Organizer's Office.
(5) Please note that if a product whose description was not submitted in advance is exhibited, and the organizers deem it ineligible for exhibition, the exhibitor must remove the said product immediately.
(6) Use of water supply and drainage facilities When you will use water supply and drainage facilities for machine demonstrations, etc. please be sure to
indicate so in the "water supply and drainage" section when applying to participate. The organizers may not able to accommodate a request for use of water supply and drainage after participation is accepted.
(7) Use of gas When you plan to use gas during demonstrations, etc., please be sure to contact the organizers when applying
to participate. We may not able to accommodate a request for use of gas after participation is accepted because of venue facilities and booth construction.
(8) Purchase of liability insurance All exhibitors are required to purchase liability insurance in case of accidents and incidents that may
occur during the move-in or move-out activities and during the exhibition, especially within their own booths for which they are liable.
Please thoroughly review the contents of your insurance policy since the Product Liability insurance (PL insurance) does not provide coverage in some cases.
(9) The Rules for Participating in the Exhibition are described at the end of this booklet (See page 16). Please be sure to review and understand the prohibited acts and notes, along with other matters described in this booklet, when you apply to participate.
(10) The organizers cannot accept an application that is conditional upon a booth having a specific location, such as a corner booth.
(11) The same company/corporation cannot, in principle, exhibit separately, using two or more locations.
(12) The name of the exhibitor refers to what is written in the "Company Name" section in the Application Form. The name written in the section is printed on decorations and distribution materials, and appears on H.C.R. official website, please write in the section accurately.
5. Payment of booth fee, etc.
(1) The invoice of the booth fee, etc. will be sent out late April by the organizers with the participation approval notice. Please make payment to the account specified in the invoice.
(2) Payment is due May 31 (Fri.), 2019.
(3) If the payment deadline needs to be adjusted due to unavoidable circumstances, please contact the organizers at the time of submission of application form. Unless prior contact is made, the provisions stated in the following (4) will apply.

(4) When receipt of payment cannot be confirmed by the due date, your participation will be cancelled, and you will be requested to pay the prescribed cancellation fee. In addition, when you cancel your participation, a cancellation charge according to when you indicated your intention to do so may also be applied. We appreciate your understanding. For details of the cancellation charges, please refer to the Rules for Participating in the Exhibition.(See page 17)
6. Booth allocation
Booth allocation in the venue is determined by the organizers. Final booth allocation is scheduled to announce on June 21(Fri.), 2019. On the same day, related documents, floor layout plans, etc. will be posted on the Exhibitors Page.Please note that peninsula booths and island booths may not always be installed in your desired exhibition zone.
7. Delegation of authority to agent in Japan
Definition of “agent”: The term “agent” is defined in H.C.R. as a company or an organization in Japan such as a sole agent, agent, distributor, or dealer that sells and/or distributes product(s) to be exhibited, regardless of whether the parties involved have a contract or not. An overseas company/organization, advertising agency, and intermediary agency are unsuitable.
(1) Overseas exhibitors that would like to delegate authority to their agent in Japan is required to indicate on the application form so when applying to participate, either to a) be the primary contact as the liaison and coordination of the participation, or b) provide products details and photo for their advertisement in the Home Care & Rehabilitation Equipment Guidebook, etc. on their behalf may do so after obtaining the consent of their agent.
(2) Upon receipt of this information, the organizers will only be in contact with the delegated agent.

Companies/organizations which want to have adjoining booths, it’s possible by the conditions of their “mutual request” , “same booth style (Island/Peninsula)”, and “same booth zone” when applying to participate on their application form.They may also make other requests in their application form when applying, it’s not possible to comply with all their requests sometime because of the overall booth allocation.

H.C.R. issues "Home Care & Rehabilitation Equipment Guidebook" which provides information about the products exhibited. This guidebook will be for sale at the venue. You can introduce products through the guidebook to many people including welfare equipment users and those involved with the welfare equipment business all over the country, even if they are not able to visit the H.C.R. in person.
Overseas exhibitors will be provided a free ad space on the guidebook, and have a choice to have paid advertisement optionally. Please see below for details.

1. Qualified exhibitors and suitable products(1) Qualified exhibitors
A company acknowledged by the organizers (the Japan National Council of Social Welfare, and the Health and Welfare Information Association) to fall under any of the following can participate in the 46th International Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition H.C.R. 2019 (hereinafter referred to as “the exhibition”).
i. Company or organization that manufactures or distributes home care and rehabilitation equipmentii. Company or organization engaged in home care and rehabilitation equipment rentalsiii. Company or organization that manufactures computer software, etc., that may be exhibitediv. Public organization, public-service corporationv. Welfare organization, research institution
(2) Suitable productsSuitable products are home care and rehabilitation equipment that promotes independent lifestyles of elderly and disabled persons (and children), and nursing care equipment and goods.
(3) Companies engaged in the facility and in-home welfare service-related businesses are not qualified exhibitors.(4) Even when a company falls under the category for qualified exhibitors, the application cannot be submitted through a
third party, such as an advertising agency.(5) If the organizers deem that the submitted content or the applicant does not meet the conditions or the qualifications for
participation in this exhibition, the organizers may refuse to accept the application.(6) If a company is in a patent infringement or other dispute, which may cause damage to a third party, the organizers may
decide to refuse to accept the application.(7) If a qualified exhibitor, who signed a binding contract to participate in the exhibition (hereinafter referred to as “the
Exhibitor”), displays a product other than those that may be exhibited, the organizers will issue a notice to the Exhibitor to stop the display of the said exhibit immediately. The Exhibitor who receives this notice shall follow the instructions. If the Exhibitor does not follow the organizer’s instructions, the organizers may remove the said exhibit on behalf of the Exhibitor at the Exhibitor’s expense, and take other appropriate measures. In this case, the organizers will not be responsible for any cost, damage, etc., incurred by the Exhibitor. The Exhibitor shall also not pursue a claim for liability or make any other claim on this matter against the organizers.
(8) It is the participating company’s responsibility to meet any necessary visa requirements for their representative to enter Japan. Invitation letters for visa application is not issued by the organizers.

4. Application procedures and requirements(1) How to apply
All applicants are requested to submit the application to the Organizer's Office before the deadline. To apply to participate in this exhibition, companies/organizations which are qualified exhibitors shall accept in advance and be committed to following all items in the Rules for Participating in the Exhibition, and all matters stated in the Application Guidelines. In this respect, the organizers will not accept any objections at any time in the future.The contract shall come into effect from the date on which the organizers issue the participation approval notice.

(6) Participation approval, cancellation, etc.The organizers will notify the applying companies and organizations through the participation approval notice issued by the organizers. (Notice will be sent out late April, 2019.)After approval to participate is notified, it is, in principle, not possible to cancel participation or to reduce the number ofrequested booths, provided, however that this shall not apply in cases where the organizers accept it. The exhibitor is required to send a written intention to cancel their participation, etc., to the organizers office, and to pay the corresponding cancellation fee in the chart below. If the exhibitor cancels participation after paying the booth fee, the organizers will refund the amount to the account designated by the exhibitor after deducting the cancellation fee and bank transfer fee.The date on which an intention to cancel participation is indicated in the chart below means the day on which a writtenintention to cancel participation or to reduce the number of requested booths is received by the organizers.

(7) Others• When an exhibitor jointly participates in the exhibition with other company or organization, an application cannot
be accepted until the organizers confirm that all joint participating companies or organizations have submitted their applications.
• If a product of which the organizers were not informed in advance is exhibited on-site, and the organizers deem it ineligible for exhibition, the exhibitor must remove the said product immediately.
• The organizers cannot accept an application that is conditional upon a booth being specifically located on a corner.• The same company or organization cannot, exhibit separately, using two or more locations.• The names of the exhibitors are indicated by what is written in the "Company Name" section in the Application Form.
The name written in the section is printed on decorations and distribution materials, and appears on the H.C.R. official website, please write in the section accurately.
• Only a "Primary Contact" shown on the application form can inquire and conduct procedures for participaton. When an exhibitor would like to delegate authority to an agent in Japan may do so after obtaining the consent of their agent. Upon receipt of this information, the organizers will only be in contact with the delegated agent.
The term “agent” is defined in this exhibition as a company or an organization in Japan such as a sole agent, agent, distributor, or dealer that sells and/or distributes product(s) to be exhibited, regardless of whether the parties involved have a contract or not. An overseas company/organization, advertising agency, and intermediary agency are unsuitable.
5. Payment of booth feePlease make payment of the booth fee to the designated account by the following due date based on the invoice issued by the organizers. The invoice will be enclosed in the participation approval notice. The payee’s account information will be stated in the invoice. Exhibitors are responsible for the bank wire transfer fee.When receipt of payment cannot be confirmed by the due date, your participation will be cancelled, and you will be requested to pay the prescribed cancellation fee.Payment due date: May 31 (Fri.), 2019
6. Determination of booth layout (booth allocation)The organizers will determine the booth allocation of the exhibition halls and will inform exhibitors of their booth location.Announcement of booth allocation: June 21 (Fri.), 2019
7. Prohibited acts, notices, etc.(1) Prohibited acts
i. Sale, transfer, sublease, exchange, etc. of booth Exhibitors are prohibited to sell, transfer, sublease, exchange, etc. the booth to another exhibitor or third party,
whether part of or an entire booth.ii. Display of the name of a company or organization other than that of the exhibitor on installed decorations, etc. The display of the name of a company/organization other than that of the exhibitor on installed decorations, etc., is
not permitted. Only the name of the exhibitor (as written in the “Company Name” column in the Application Form) can be displayed.
*In regards to display of the name of the manufacturers of products by sales and rental business operators, such names can only be displayed in the pamphlets, etc., to be distributed by the exhibitor in the booth.
iii. Distribution of a brochure of a company or organization other than that of the exhibitor, display of a product that is not handled by the exhibitor, or distribution of its pamphlet, etc.

iv. Display and distribution of pamphlets, etc., in a place other than the exhibitor’s own booth, such as in an aisle installation and display of decorations, exhibits and distribution of a pamphlet, catalog, sample issue, sample, etc., and any acts including explaining a product, demonstration, trial run or use, or conducting a survey in a place other than an exhibitor’s booth, such as in an aisle, are not permitted.
v. Booth layout, based on the assumption that exhibits are viewed from the aisle Booth layout based on the assumption that visitors view exhibits from the aisle, and having an entire booth fully occupied by exhibits or decorations is prohibited. Please make sure to have space for visitors to enter the booth so that. vi. Additional work on site without prior approval (other than the submitted plan) Various works by an exhibitor (including by a contractor, etc. hired by an exhibitor) to set up and decorate a booth
in the exhibition hall shall be conducted on the basis of the plan described in the booth decoration confirmation and accompanying documents, as submitted to the organizers by the designated date; additional work on site other than that described in the said planned work is prohibited.
Specifically, work that uses the pits in the exhibition hall requires approval of the organizers, the exhibition hall (Tokyo Big Sight, Inc.) and the relevant institutions, such as the fire department.

vii. On-the-spot selling of exhibits The exhibition is mainly for displaying products and business negotiation. Exhibition activity principally for on-the-spot
selling, is prohibited.viii. Financial support activities such as fundraising solicitation No financial support activities, such as fundraising solicitation, are permitted in the exhibition hall.ix. Photographing, filming, copying, measuring, molding, etc., of another exhibitor’s exhibits without the permission of
the organizers and the exhibitor Photographing, filming, copying, measuring, or molding of another exhibitor’s exhibits without the permission of the
organizers and the exhibitor, is prohibited. Exhibitors are permitted to take photos or videos in their own booths only.
(2) Noticesi. Display of product brand name, logo, etc., and exhibitors’ names on installed decorations When a product brand name and logo, etc., are displayed on installed decorations, please be sure to properly display
them so as not to cause any misunderstanding that a company/organization other than the exhibitors is participating. When a brand name and logo, etc., of another company’s product that an exhibitor sells are displayed, please display them in such a way that visitors can understand the relationship with the company/organization that owns that brand.
Taking the above into account, exhibitors using a basic or island booth which they decorate by themselves shall, in principle, clearly display their name as written in the application form so that they are visible even if surrounded by fixtures or structures, or in a crowded space. Please follow the standards listed in the chart below when displaying a product brand name and logo, etc.

ii. Change of exhibitor’s name The exhibitor’s name is printed on decorations, distribution materials prepared by the organizers, and appears on
the website. Please note that the name cannot be changed after the participation approval notice is issued, except in cases where there are unavoidable grounds, such as a corporate merger, etc.
iii. Volume of speaker and microphone, etc. The maximum volume at a point 2 m from the booth boundary is 70 dB. Please be sure to keep the volume at the
said level since excessive volume obstructs the emergency simultaneous broadcast system.iv. Exhibit’s test use or drive by visitors Please make sure that the exhibitor’s staff brief visitors before they try out or test drive an exhibit, and ensure
prevention of accidents by providing sufficient explanation about use, and also by being in attendance.v. Management of exhibit and booth Exhibitors shall be responsible for managing exhibits and booths at their expense. The Exhibitor’s person in charge
should always be stationed in the booth during opening hours. In the event of damage or loss of an exhibit, or of any accident in the booth during move-in and -out, or to a person
or property, such an incident/accident shall be resolved through the exhibitor’s responsibility, and the organizers shall not take any responsibility. Exhibitors are required to purchase liability insurance.
vi. Presence during various works The Exhibitor’s person in charge is requested to be present on site during the various works to set up and decorate
the exhibitor’s booth (including by a contractor, etc., hired by an exhibitor), and to make sure that these works are conducted in accordance with the pre-approved plan.
vii. Management of exhibition waste, etc. Exhibitors are responsible for removing all exhibition waste, used materials, rubbish and trash, etc., from in and
around their booth. A storage area for cardboard boxes, etc., is not provided during the exhibition period, so exhibitors should responsibly manage them by arranging space in their own booth, etc.
(3) Preventive measures for demonstrations, etc.When an exhibitor conducts a demonstration, etc., required procedures and sufficient preventive measures must be taken to avoid inconveniencing visitors and other exhibitors. When the organizers find that an exhibitor is violating the rules, not taking sufficient measures, or causing significant nuisance to visitors and other exhibitors, the organizers may order the exhibitor to change their preventive measures, the way they demonstrate, or restrict demonstration, etc. The exhibitor shall follow this order.
i. Demonstration using devices such as a speaker and microphoneii. Demonstration that causes odor, etc.iii. Distribution of promotional items

(4) Securing evacuation routesExhibitors occupxing 6 booths or more are requested to plan to have an evacuation route in accordance with the following, and to submit their booth decoration confirmation and accompanying documents to the organizers by the designated date.
i. Please have an opening on at least three sides (in a state where people and wheelchairs can come and go).*In the case of a peninsula booth: Since one side is closed with system panels, please have an opening on the remaining three sides.
*In the case of an island booth: Considering the needs of visitors using a wheelchair, please cooperate in the following:
• A booth located on the hall structure frame side is closed on that side.• A booth not located along the hall structure frame side has four open sides as best it can, in order to secure
good visibility for visitors, and evacuation routes.ii. On the aisle side, please leave 2 m or larger opening per side.iii. Please make sure to display and decorate in such a way that evacuation is possible in two or more directions from
any place in the booth.iv. Please ensure a minimum 1.2 m wide route in the booth (1.6 m for an island booth consisting of 34 booths or more,
and 1.8 m for an island booth consisting of 68 booths or more).*A system wall panel, 6 m wide x 2.7 m high, will be installed by the organizers on the back of a peninsula booth (part adjoining another booth).
*If the organizers find the island booth layout might cause confusion during evacuation of the exhibition hall due to large blockage of an existing evacuation route etc., the organizers may ask exhibitors to expand the open space.
*If the organizers conclude that the plan described in the booth decoration confirmation and accompanying documents submitted in advance might cause confusion during evacuation, the organizers ask for cooperation of exhibitors to move exhibits, etc.
(5) Installation of smoke detector, etc. Installation of smoke detectors, etc., may be required by the fire department instructions and regulations. In such a case,
smoke detectors will be installed at the exhibitor’s expense.(6) Assistance with evacuation in the event of a major disaster If a major disaster occurs and an emergency evacuation order is issued during opening hours, exhibitors will be asked to
cooperate in a smooth evacuation and assist visitors who have difficulty walking, such as wheelchair users.(7) Suspension of the exhibition The organizers may suspend the exhibition in the case of force majeure, such as natural disaster, or other occurrence
that cannot be controlled by the organizers. If the exhibition hall makes a decision to discontinue leasing for reasons such as ensuring safety, the exhibition will
also be suspended. In such a case, an amount will be refunded to exhibitors after deducting the costs incurred by the organizers to prepare the exhibition, and costs associated with cancellation of use of the exhibition hall, etc., from the booth fee.
The organizers shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by exhibitors and affiliated parties, or for damages, etc.(8) Security of the entire hall, and general operation management The organizers shall prudently manage and maintain the security of the entire hall and operation in general, but shall not
be liable for damage, or for compensation, etc., for unexpected natural disaster(s), damage resulting from force majeure, or for loss, theft, or other accidents.
8. On-site inspection(1) The organizers may enter a booth in order to confirm compliance with various exhibition rules, hygiene, crime prevention,
and fire prevention, as and when necessary for management. If anything is deemed dangerous during the inspection, the organizers reserve the right to remove it or take other necessary measures.
(2) In the case of the preceding paragraph, an exhibitor shall cooperate with measures taken by the organizers. If an exhibitor does not cooperate, their booth exhibition may be cancelled immediately, at the organizers’ discretion.
(3) The organizers, related agencies and other such organizations may enter an exhibitor’s booth during inspections conducted by the fire department, public health center, the exhibition hall (Tokyo Big Sight, Inc.), and when the organizers find it necessary to inspect during the booth construction and exhibition period.
9. Restoration to original conditionExhibitors should return their booths to the organizers, as stated below, when the contract ends for any reason whatsoever, including expiry, or cancellation or annulment of the contract.
(1) The booth shall be restored to its original state. If an exhibitor does not restore it to its original state, the organizers shall restore it on behalf of the exhibitor, and all costs for restoration shall be borne by the said exhibitor.
(2) If an exhibitor leaves any exhibited products or decorations in the booth, or in the exhibition venue, the organizers will dispose of them, and all costs for the disposal shall be borne by the said exhibitor.
(3) If an exhibitor does not return the booth at the end of the contract, the exhibitor shall compensate the organizers in a sum

equal to three times the booth fee (on a pro rata basis), and the fee to occupy the exhibition venue, plus any damage incurred by the organizers in the period from midnight on the day following the end of the contract (September 28, 2019) until return of the booth is completed (when the booth is restored to its original condition).
(4) Exhibitors are not permitted to claim any cost relating to booth return or rights against the organizers.
10. Compliance with rules for participating in the exhibitionExhibitors shall comply with the rules for participating in the exhibition and with those stipulated in materials, including theExhibitor Manual to be distributed later by the organizers. Exhibitors agree in advance that the organizers may change the rules for participating in the exhibition, other rules in the case of unavoidable circumstances, and that they shall follow such rules after any changes are made.Exhibitors shall also comply with other ordinances, guidance/notices of various government agencies and institutions in Japan, and regulations stipulated by the exhibition hall (Tokyo Big Sight Inc.), etc.If an exhibitor does not follow the exhibition rules and relevant laws, or when the organizers find that an exhibitor causessignificant nuisance to visitors and other exhibitors, the organizers will give the exhibitor notice to discontinue exhibiting and demonstrating immediately. An exhibitor who receives this notice shall follow the instructions and discontinue exhibiting and demonstrating immediately.If the exhibitor does not discontinue, their exhibition will be immediately cancelled, and the organizers reserve the right toremove the said exhibitor’s exhibits on behalf of the exhibitor, and take other appropriate measures. In this case, the organizers will not assume responsibility for any costs, including booth fee, damage, etc., incurred by the exhibitor.
11. Cancellation of contract, refusal of participation in the future(1) Cancellation of contract The organizers shall have the right to cancel the contract without any notice to the exhibitor if the exhibitor falls under
any of the following. In this case, the organizers will claim the damage incurred to the exhibitor, and the exhibitor shall compensate for that damage.
i. When all or part of the booth fee is not paid by the specified date.ii. When an object other than products that may be exhibited is exhibited.iii. When a prohibited act is performed without removing a prohibition.iv. When a booth is used for a purpose other than participating in the exhibition.v. When a booth is not used.vi. When an act which causes a significant loss of the organizers’ credibility is performed.vii. When the rules for this exhibition and relevant laws are violated.
(2) Refusal of participation in the future If an exhibitor causes a nuisance to visitors and other exhibitors during and after the exhibition period, or the organizers
deem that an exhibitor obstructed the exhibition management, etc., the organizers reserve the right to immediately cancel the contract, discontinue exhibition, or notify refusal of participation in a subsequent exhibition, and the exhibitor who is so notified shall follow this notification.
12. Court having jurisdictionThe Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance in the case of any dispute regarding rights and obligations arising from this contract.
