change mindsets and fixed attitudes. The apostolic community is not ashamed of who they are They are not fighting a rear guard action or struggling to

maintain, but are part of the triumphant, victorious, accurate, strong, universal church of Jesus Christ that is preparing for the final thrust.

seeking first the Kingdom of heaven. They recognize God's methods are men. The apostolic community is characterized by thrust and

breakthrough. Each community will have a particular emphasis as

they are called to reflect an aspect of the personality of Christ.

They have a particular role or job to do in the world and are characterized by the apostolic leader or grace from which they draw.

Since each apostle has a particular mandate, measuring rod or plumb line, it determines the nature of their building emphasis.

They are net exporters of blessing. The purpose is to release into the world rather than

to maintain their present existence. An apostolic community is committed to training and

equipping, "take these things and commit them to faithful men".

They are not content to simply engage in ministry or for maintenance of the local church.

They produce resources and money for God's purpose in the earth, rather than simply to maintain the community that currently exists.

of sources and is not limited to drinking at one stream.

Apostolic communities will pioneer and engage in a variety of innovative involvements.

God's pattern for the church is to truly function as apostolic communities.

As we position ourselves rightly and see traditional mind-sets challenged and changed the church will align itself with the purposes of God for the advancement of the Kingdom
