Classical musical program for March 2011
Straso Temkov and Vesna
Angelova are the artists that per-
formed in the third classical mu-
sic concert held on the 7th March
at Apollonia Hotel as part of the
musical program “Gevgelija
spring 2011”. Wonderful pieces
of J. S. Bach, F.Born and pieces of
F.. Pulank: “Sonata for flute and
piano” were performed in front
of Gevgelija audience.
A surprise of the evening was the performance of one flute student from the Faculty for music, Biljana Kamceva, who
won first prize at the State Competition for Flute in 2010. The beauty of the sounds of the flute, was the perfect way to
set the scene in the Hotel Apollonia for the first of the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestar flutists Straso Temkov. Tem-
kov actively participates in several seminars from baroque to contemporary music with world renowned professors.
Since 2010 he has been a professor at the School of Music in Skopje.
To capture the elegance of the delicate sounds of flute, piano accompaniment was contributed by Vesna Ange-
lova. Vesna Angelova has performed solo recitals and chamber concerts in several cities in Macedonia, as a piano trio,
composed of piano duo Angelova - Makarievski. In 2008 she made a cultural visit and a concert in Paris, realized through
the Ministry of Culture. She works as an external associate of the Macedonian Philharmonic.

In March the activities for the children of the group "Nature day" was dedicated to education about climate change,
and at the same time studding clouds and how they can predict the weather in the next few days. We began the activi-
ties with an organized cleaning event on the yard of the elementary school in Negorci. The next “Nature Day” we visited
the village Moin where
we had activities about
clouds. After that we had
a wonderful day at Pal-
jurci – Bogdanci, where
children through educa-
tional games learned to
identify different types of
clouds. We also had ac-
tivities for studding the
characteristics of wind
and making kites.
Most important for the children of the group "Nature Day" was planting trees in the locality Negorci hill. With planting of
more than 100 trees, the children of the group "Nature Day”, contributed to the environmental action "Tree Day - Plant
Your Future".

Billion Acts of Green community Fair on April 20.
The goals of this event are:
• To create awareness of the need to protect
our environment in the future.
• Involve the children and citizens of Gev-
gelija in events that stimulate thought
about every citizen’s role in conserving our
environment.
• Provide a forum and opportunity for com-
munity institutions and businesses to be-
come involved in environmental action.
We will organize an Earth Day 2011 Fair with
exhibitions of youth art, photography and craft
projects, along with essay and speech contests,
all on environmental themes. The exhibits and
contests will take place on April 20 from 12:00 to

invited to attend and be involved. We also want
to consider creating an outside exhibition in the
small center just outside of the Library that could
include other community institutions and busi-
