Calcutta Rescue: Calcutta Rescue (CR)is a Non-governmental organisation operating in Kolkata and rural West Bengal. Its aims to provide free medical care and education and other benefits to the poor, destitute and socially disadvantaged regardless of sex, age, caste or religion. At present the organisation operates three referral outpatient clinics at Tala Park, Chitpur and Nimtala. CR also operates two mobile clinics referred to as the Street Medicine Programme. Medical care, nutritional supplements and clothes are given to patients suffering from illness such as tuberculosis, leprosy, diabetes, heart disease, thalassaemia, malnutrition, and trauma etc. Besides medical care, CR also puts emphasis on quality education for the poor and operates two non-formal education centres, which provide nearly 600 street and slum children with free education, food, clothes, footwear and health screening. Calcutta Rescue invites applications for the post of ‘Assistant Project Officer (APO)’ to head one of its education centres in north Kolkata. At least Graduate degree with B. Ed preferably Minimum 5 yrs managerial/ administrative experience in NGO school/ education sector. Strong supervisory, leadership and team management skill Good communication skills (spoken, written in English and Bengali/Hindi). MIS and report writing skill Basic knowledge in accounts. Knowledge of computer operation –MS office –word excel, Internet, emails
