Differences become apparent & irritating. Problems occur & frustation sets in

You develop strategies to cope with difficulties & feelings, make new friends, and learn to adapt to the host culture.

You are excited about returning home.

You gradually adjust to live at home. Things start to seem more normal & routine again, although not completely the same.

Typical: nice. sometimes too nice. “maybe if I talk in Bahasa slower they will understand..” !Things can happen..!far from working place unwelcomed no expectation setting/bad communication from OC to hostfam facilities promised with the reality aren’t matched ask to pay different service !The worst things can happen..!being ditched from the house
