    ANSWERKEYSectionIII:Writing

    PartA:StoryNarration

In this section, you are given 15 minutes to write the narration based on a series of four

    pictures.

    Writing suggestions:

    1) First, if there are people in the pictures, give them names. In addition, mention the

    time, location, and actions.

    2) According to the College Board, the purpose of this section is to determine whether

students can write a well-organized story with a clear progression of ideas (a beginning, middle, and conclusion), with as many details from the picture sequence as possible.

Based on the pictures, divide the story into 4 paragraphs (one paragraph for one picture).

Usually, the first paragraph is the beginning, the second and third paragraphs are the

body sections, and the last paragraph is the ending of the story.

    3) Write at least 4-5 sentences for each picture (each paragraph), with 200-250 words

    total.

    4) When you write, make sure to use appropriate transitional elements, cohesive devices,

as well as sophistication of sentence structure, vocabulary terms, and idioms.5) Finally, give your story a title.
