4 th & Main Designs By: Scott A. Flanagan Welcome to our 2014 internet Block-of-the-month program. This is our gift to you for being a loyal subscriber to the “As the Bobbin Winds” e-mail newsletter. Over the course of the next 12 months you will receive directions on how to make (12) different sampler blocks that finish at 10” without the frame and 12” with the frame. The blocks will start out easy and work up in difficulty as we move throughout the year. On the last month you will also receive the directions for the finishing layout of the quilt. I would like to challenge all of you to come up with your own layout for the blocks though! This was designed to be a scrappy project in nature, however, if you would like to purchase fabric to make yours I have included the suggested yardage for you at the bottom of the page. I made our sample using an assortment of Batik fabric but it would be beautiful in Jo Mortin, Art to Heart, 30’s, Kansas Troubles, or even the Serenity line! Let your imagination be your guide.
