1. We cause ourselves harm when we compare ourselves in two ways: –  To others –  To our preconceived, self-imposed ideas

of how we “should be”

Both are very dangerous and harmful, and here’s how they come to exist…

Comparing ourselves to others…

•  Is literally programmed into us from day one… – TV, movies, & marketing –  Siblings – Parents –  School…

•  We, unfortunately, live in a never ending rat race of meaningless, damaging, comparison

•  It keeps us consuming, but does no real good for us

Comparing ourselves to our “shoulds”

•  Should is made up – it’s the distilled version of all the societal programming and is created by our ego mind

•  Remove ‘should’ from your vocabulary… •  Replace it with ‘could’

Harming Ourselves with Past Results

•  Bad programming brought unsatisfying past results

•  If we mistakenly identify ourselves as these past results, and make ourselves wrong for them, we’ll continue to repeat the cycle

•  Understand past results don’t define who you are, they define who you WERE

•  In this moment you are not your past results, you are infinite possibility!

Disliking Ourselves due to Ignorance or Illusion

•  When you identify with ONLY the physical body you will often have issues due to the illusion of control

•  You will feel like you are in complete control of your life, because you are not acknowledging the co-creative force…

Which Prevents Your Life’s Flow!

•  You won’t get the results you want and you won’t be able to see the lessons or the deeper meaning behind your experiences

•  You’ll make yourself VERY wrong for everything that isn’t working “perfectly”…

•  You’ll stay in a place of “resistance”, trying to force life to look the way your mind thinks it should, and then getting upset when it doesn’t work out

•  And you won’t allow for the beauty of life to flow through you, gently guiding you toward a greatness you couldn’t have possibly envisioned

Step #2 – Acknowledge It

•  Now that you have an understanding of all the ways we harm our self love and self worth…

•  The next step is to acknowledge it in YOUR life

•  Shadows thrive on staying just that...shadows!

•  Shine the light and watch how fast they’ll disappear…

•  Remember everything you just learned… •  Where do these beliefs really come from? •  When was your first experience when you

started to believe them as true? •  Do your best to identify the true origin of

Step #3 - Beginning the Healing Process

•  Now that we understand where these destructive beliefs come from and how we’re taking them on…

•  We need to begin the healing process •  We do so with three simple techniques

1.  The “RES” technique 2.  Mirror affirmations 3.  A trigger for perfect happiness

The RES Technique – Release Emotional Suffering

•  Emotions are a guidance system that deliver you messages of preference

•  Unfortunately, we often ignore these messages, particularly when they aren’t very pleasant

•  E-motions (energy in motion) carry a physical energy, that when ignored, can stay stored in the body

•  Over time, these energies build up and can cause a tumultuous inner terrain

•  Ever “over-react” or find yourself uncontrollably reacting to certain stimulus?

•  This is the reason…

A Reaction is Any time…

•  You have a pre-programmed, unconscious response to a stimulus

•  Examples include: – Being nervous in social situations –  Feeling rage when called a name or label – Becoming anxious or fearful of the future due

to a current circumstance •  All of these are reactions and create

emotional feelings in your body that can, unfortunately, control your behavior and leave you disempowered

So We use the RES technique •  When you feel an emotional reaction occur use

this process – Find the feeling in your body and visualize the

emotion – With your awareness, dive into the absolute

center of the emotion – Sit and experience the emotional message – Allow it to express and hold a loving

awareness (Important!) –  If you feel called, ask questions like “how old?”

or “where are you?” or “what’s happening?”

So We use the RES technique •  If it dissipates or moves (it will) – Keep diving into the center of the feeling

and / or following it through the body – Continue until there is no trace of the feeling

or emotion left

Take a Test Run •  What REALLY ticks you off, makes you

nervous, or just “triggers” you into reaction?

•  Imagine the IDEALLY UNCOMFORTABLE situation to conjure the emotion

•  Use RES technique to allow the expression of the emotions that arise

•  Again – don’t TRY to dissipate it, just witness with a loving awareness

Mirror Affirmations

•  How to make your increase in self love and self worth consistent and time effective...

•  Put affirmations on your mirror with dry erase markers

•  Connect deeply into your own eyes and read the statements

•  Use the RES technique to release any resistance that may arise

•  Do this frequently – try each morning and night

Make your Affirmations…

•  Positively stated •  In the present tense •  Nurturing and expansive •  We’ll add to them as we go through the

program, but two great ones to start with for creating self love and self worth are – “I love you” and – “The World Deserves my Greatness”

A “trigger” for Perfect Happiness…

•  As we learned earlier, comparison in all forms, identification with past results and the illusion, all cause us harm and to lose self love and self worth

•  When we are in connection with our truth, with the blissful moment, we are happy, joyous, grateful, loving, and excited…

•  But when we are not connected to these feelings, we know we are doing one of the three things that harm us

•  And so we turn this into a simple trigger…

When harmful or negative thoughts are recognized

•  Visualize them in your mind’s eye •  See it go behind you in your perspective and

far, far away… •  Further and further, till it actually flies so far

away it goes into the sun and disintegrates •  Then say “I am happiness and bliss” three

times •  This can all be done in your head and in about

3 seconds…and will drastically shift your mood and vibration

Time for Action! •  Make a commitment – Spend just 7 days doing the RES

technique for at least 30 minutes per day, conjuring up old blockages and releasing them

•  Finish journaling out every single thing you don’t like about yourself, think could be better, want to improve, etc. –  Then write down where all of these beliefs originate from –  And then take this outside and burn it – creating space

for a whole new you – invite in the light and state “I am whole, complete, joyous, and blissful in this now”

•  Put your mirror affirmations up and do them at least twice daily

•  Practice a few times and then use the trigger for Perfect Happiness as often as you remember – anytime negative thoughts come creeping in to sabotage!
