Milan, 04-04-2016 “PALAZZO MONTEDORIA” AND “HQ2” OF “NEIF FUND” MANAGED BY BNP PARIBAS REIM OBTAINED THE “BREEAM” CERTIFICATION OF SUSTAINABILITY The Italian portfolio of the pan-European fund Neif (Next Estate Income Fund) managed by BNP Paribas RE Investment Management goes green. Thanks to the BREEAM Auditor support, Habitech, the buildings of Palazzo Montedoria and HQ2 located in Milan have obtained the certification of sustainability for existing buildings BREEAM IN USE (BIU) International 2015 - Part 1. The value added of this system lies in the opportunity of having a "snapshot " of the current building’s performance to be used as a roadmpa for continuous improvements. Palazzo Montedoria consists of two unequal bodies covered with a ceramic cladding. The original design, by the architect Giò Ponti, dates back 1963. The complex has achieved the "Good" level for Part 1 related to the Asset Performance of Common Areas of the building. Among the nine areas of impact considered, Palazzo Montadoria’s BREEAM certification, was considered especially successful in the Energy Area.. The Waste Area was also considered outstanding, thanks to waste management and recycling method. Palazzo Montedoria’s certifications path is moving forward by pursuing BIU Part 2 - Building Management for the definition of policies of a correct and responsible management of the structures and facilities. The "HQ2" property, located in the Bicocca area, wereconsidered excellent over all of the nine BREEAM sustainability areas, awarding the "Very Good" level within the BREEAM rating scale. In absolute terms the certification achieveing very good performances on waste management policies, sustainable transport and the special attention to water resources.
