We want to prepare the next generation of Ohioans to continue their legacy.” – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown Propel Ohio is a leadership program that promotes civic engagement and inspires undergraduate students to grow into civic leaders in Ohio. e Propel Ohio program includes a one-day statewide conference in the fall and five regional gatherings in the winter and spring. Propel Ohio 2019 will actively engage with college students on issues that affect their communities, and help them explore a range of civic engagement opportunities. Activist, civil rights attorney, and author Monica Ramirez will provide the keynote address. The program: U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, guest speakers, and workshop facilitators will discuss how college students can tackle challenges in their Ohio communities. Propel Ohio will also feature an Engagement Fair, where students will connect with organizations doing important work around the state. Each of Ohio's two-year, four-year public and private colleges and universities and regional campuses are invited to appoint undergraduate students and one adminis- trator to attend the program. Applications are due by October 11.
