ACTIVITIESTHISWEEK St. James presents:

SPOTLIGHT ON ROME NOVEMBER 3 - 9, 2015

YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO GO TO ROME!

Day 5 - November 7, 2015

The day is at leisure to relax, shop or explore the city. Rome is a fascinating city with many remarkable mu-seums such as Capitoline Museums or Villa Borghese. You may decide to explore the Capuchin Crypt be-neath the church of Santa Maria della Concezione, containing the skeletons of approximately 4,000 friars. Perhaps you will choose to learn the secrets of Roman cooking by partaking in an optional cooking class.

Keep watching the Bulletin for more info on this once in a lifetime trip.

Adult and Family Faith Forma on Preparing for the World Mee ng of Families with

Pope Francis This week, we continue our reflection on one of the ten themes from the Love Is Our Mission preparato-ry text for this event to help deepen your under-standing of the Church’s teachings on the family. All Love Bears Fruit: Regardless of whether or not we are called to marriage, every life created by God is meant to be fruitful and to trust in God, and to treat those we meet with love, mercy, patience, generosity, and service. Reflect and Act: How am I being “fruitful” in the world by sharing God’s love through marriage, the single life, or a vocation to the priesthood or religious life?

For more informa on, visit www.worldmee ng2015.org

***PARISH OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th THERE WILL ALSO BE NO ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT THAT DAY. THANK YOU. ***

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT AT ST. JAMES THE APOSTLE

On First Fridays we are blessed with Adoration from 8:30am-6pm. This is a great gift and wonderful opportuni-ty to be with Jesus. He is present: Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! Take a moment and ask yourself: Do you want to love Jesus more? Do you want to give Him thanks? Do you want to learn to pray to Jesus? Do you want to bring your all to Jesus? Please take part in this wonderful gift of Eucharistic Ado-ration! Spending time with Jesus in Adoration builds a stronger intimate relationship with Him. All you have to do is look at Him in the small white host and He simply showers you with grace! On the week-end of September 26th & 27th, we will have a sign-up table available in the Narthex. Please take a moment after each Mass to come and ask questions about this wonderful devotion. We will have information packets available for you. Pray and consider asking the Holy Spirit if you are the one Jesus is calling to spend an hour with Him each First Friday. There are openings every hour from 8:30am-6pm and the afternoon hours are very much in need of your presence. Will you answer His call? - Bob and Linda Siurek 281-288-6844 OR email us: [email protected]
