The purpose of the “Like This” Facebook Training is to give you the tools and the skill to use Facebook successfully from a business standpoint.
It has been divided up into easy to learn sections that are available in a PDF format and will be made available for download.

WHO IS YOUR „TARGET MARKET‟
•The real key to successful marketing within the
social media platforms is knowing exactly who
you are targeting.
•Obviously you want to find people who want
and/or need your products or services.
•Why invest hours and hours of time in a random,
hit or miss marketplace when the majority of
them are not your target market.
It is essential that you do some
research and answer these questions
about your prospective customer…
Who is your ideal client or
customer? What are their
hopes and dreams? What
are their biggest fears?
What is the demographic
profile of your ideal client?
How old are they? How
educated are they? Are
they married or single?
Once you answer these
questions, you will have a
good idea who your target
market is and be able to
shape your marketing
efforts accordingly.
Why do they need your
offer? What problem will your offer solve for them?

prospect should now have a definite shape
similar to a piece of a puzzle
• You should be able to gaze at the world through their eyes and
recognize what their main needs, desires or problems are.
• It is now up to you to design your marketing so that your
company appears to be a PERFECT fit for your client needs.
YOU HAVE TO BECOME THE PERFECT FIT

• The marketing language you use, your branding, the
problem your product or service solves and all aspects
of your marketing should be directly tailored to your
customer’s needs.
• NOT the other way around!
• This is the most common mistake that most businesses
make. They start with a backwards approach…they have
a product but don’t understand or recognize who their
customer base is.
SOCIAL MEDIA IS ALL ABOUT COMMUNICATION!

• First goal … become a master
communicator.
• Even if you recognize your target
market accurately you still need to
get your communication to resound with them.
• It is a good idea to understand how the typical person
uses Facebook. Your messages will be better received if
you assume a conversational tone rather than trying to
sell people.
