Purpose of Research• The purpose of performing research is to understand the

general demographic of people who view the movie. The demographic includes their gender, age, and socio economic group.

• It is important to understand this, because once it is learnt and understood, the film can be adjusted to make a bigger impact on the main audience of the movie.

• Understanding the age range is important because we need to understand what sort of things are going to frighten them. An older audience would react more negatively.

• It is important to understand the demographic to make a good impression on the audience to make them keep wanting to watch the movie.
