Place each

sheet of red

tissue paper 

over the template pat-tern and tracing with a

pencil. the middle with

a pencil.

2 Cut each sheet

out with scis-

sors, stack

them together then

make a hole through

the middle with a pen-

cil.

3 Cut a piece of 

black crepe

paper 7cm

long and 5cm wide. Cut

small strips along the

length to form a fringe,

as shown, leaving an

edge uncut so it stays

in tact.

4 Bend a smallloop in the end

of the pipe

cleaner, wrap the black

fringe around it and

secure with sticky tape.

What you will need

For each poppy you will need:

3-6 sheets of red tissue paper 

a green pipe cleaner 

1 sheet of thin black card

a small red rubber band

sticky tape

scissors

Slip the pipe

cleaner stalk

through the

hole in the red petals.Pinch a small amount of 

the bottom of the petals

together and secure with

the rubber band.

6 Press out the

petals and the

black stamen to

form your poppy. We

nished ours off by wrap-

ping other pipecleanersaround to cover the elas-

tic and to make a bud.
