Any questions?How should I clean my car? There’s no need to use polish, wax or any product other than a mild shampoo or vehicle wash concentrate when you wash your car.

Will Toyota ProTect need to be reapplied? No. It is guaranteed to protect your vehicle’s bodywork for 5 years and it’s alloy wheels and interior fabrics for 1 year.

Can I jet wash my car? Yes. The Toyota ProTect will not be affected.

Can I use a car wash? A well-maintained car wash on the cheapest cycle will not damage Toyota ProTect in any way.

Can the car be hand washed? Yes. Toyota ProTect resists detergents very effectively.

Which shampoo should I use on the car? Any good quality car shampoo is suitable for cleaning vehicles which have been treated with ProTect, as long as it does not contain wax.

Can Toyota ProTect be applied to used cars? Yes. It can be professionally applied to new or used vehicles.

What if my vehicle is involved in an accident? Your authorised Toyota Dealer / Repairer can reinstate ProTect on all relevant vehicle parts as part of your insurance claim.

Maintenance adviceDo wash your vehicle occasionally. The water repellent property of Toyota ProTect creates a surface which means that less cleaning is required. Use vehicle wash concentrate with either a sponge or cloth, then rinse with clean water. Dry with a synthetic cloth or leather chamois.

Do use a hand wash, jet wash or a mechanical car wash on regular setting if you wish.

No need to wax or polish on top of the Toyota ProTect coating, as this has no additional benefits.

In the event of collision damage and repair, the Toyota ProTect coating can be restored . Please consult your authorised Toyota Dealer / Repairer. Toyota ProTect provides unrivalled protection against the damaging initial effects of birdlime and tree sap. However it is strongly recommended that such deposits are removed immediately, as neither are cover ed under this guarantee.

Warranty terms and conditions The treated exterior paintwork of your vehicle is now guaranteed for a full five years. In the event of loss of finish, the vehicle owner must notify the supplying authorised Toyota Dealer / Repairer immediately. Your vehicle’s ProTect treatment must be inspected not later than one year from initial application by the original supplying authorised Toyota Dealer / Repairer immediately and once annually thereafter. This record must be endorsed with any damage and / or rectification under guarantee noted, for warranty to remain valid. Treated alloy wheels and interior fabrics are guaranteed for 1 year.

Exclusions Collision damage, vandalism, stone chips, fire, rust, owner negligence. Vehicle modifications carried out after the application of Toyota ProTect. Damage resulting from abrasive polishes, acid wheel cleaners or cutting agents. Industry fallout, acid rain, birdlime, tree sap, brake fluid battery acid.

Claims In the event of loss of finish, the vehicle owner must notify the supplying authorised Toyota Dealer / Repairer immediately. The authorised Toyota Dealer / Repairer will inspect the vehicle and warranty record book to confirm that Toyota ProTect was supplied in accordance with approved procedure and that the warranty record is valid. In the event that a failure of exterior protection under warranty has occurred, the authorised Toyota Dealer / Repairer will arrange for re-application to be carried out. When claiming through an insurance company for ProTect rectification following collision damage, the cost must be recovered directly from the relevant insurance company.
