Beach Soccer - On the 21 November, we had our Junior Boys BeachSoccer carnival at Mawson Lakes. It was a smashing day weather wise andwith seven other local schools involved it was another great NE Vistacompetition but with a twist as our students were playing soccer on sandfor the day.As they found out, it involved a lot more than they thought as ploughingthrough the sand is hard work, and after six games can take its toll. Theyended up on missing out on finals by one game, so we look forward to nextyear. The boys also were referees for part of the day calling the play as theysaw it, dealing with arguments, bad tempers etc. It was tough but theymanaged to get through the day with lots of compliments from the playersand a job well done from Volleyball SA representatives.Well done to all.

The organiser of the event had wonderfulwords to say about our students (especially all three boys), they trulyrepresented the school and themselves positively. I am so proud of themand as a school community, we should all be also.

YEAR 8 & 9 FOCUS WEEK, END OF YEAR ARRANGEMENTS & PARENT BBQ AND CELEBRATION
The last official school day for Year 8 and 9 Valley View Secondary School students will be Friday 13 December, with a 12:30 pm
dismissal.
In Week 8 normal timetabled Year 8 and 9 classes will run up to an including Friday 6 December.
On Thursday 5 December students will be expected to return their laptops, laptop chargers, library books and any loans and
clean out their lockers and return their locks to Student Services after lunch.
In Week 9 from Monday 9 December until Friday 13 December, Year 8 and 9 students will participate in a focus week program.
This week long program provides students the opportunity to engage with community based learning, well-being and positive
education, life and financial skills and health and human movement.
To celebrate student's successful completion of this week we would then like to invite Year 8 and 9 parents to join us in the

Student reports will be published on Daymap or available for collection from the front office during normal business hours after
Friday 13 December, up until 12:00 pm Wednesday 18 December.
We look forward to seeing you at the BBQ and celebration event and wish you a safe and happy holiday period.
