DescriptionThe Antiviral Face Covering is a unique, re-usable face covering with anti-pathogenic action. The face covering is designed with a bioactive filter material which binds and blocks, repels and kills pathogens on contact. It is laboratory proven to capture up to 98% of aerosolised influenza viruses.

The Antiviral Face Covering helps prevent the spread of germs and also reduces the risk of contact contamination. It is made from carefully selected, lightweight material. It is reusable and washable. It follows the contours of your face for a comfortable snug fit, sealing critical viral infection points such as the nose mouth and ears.

If the product is proposed for use in a work environment it is mandatory that a full risk assessment is undertaken and government health and safety advice is followed.

Please note that the Antiviral Face Covering is not Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and should not be compared with PPE masks. It is not suitable for use in concentrations of solid (dust) particles and/or volatile/non-volatile liquid particles. Where a FFP 1/2/3 PPE mask is required, the Antiviral Face Covering could be worn underneath.

Breathing informationBreathable by design, the Antiviral Face Covering is made predominantly from natural materials and can be worn for long periods of time. The fabric is lightweight, single layer and has low pressure drop that does not impact on increased breathing rates.

Directions of use

Before fitting the Antiviral Face Covering ensure hands are clean. Please retain the packaging label. Do not throw away. Please inspect the fabric for damage prior to use.

1. Check your Antiviral Face Covering is a genuine product

2. Carefully remove the covering from the wrapper

3. Discard packaging, recycle where possible

4. Pull the covering down over your head

5. Cover mouth, nose and ears

6. Make sure the covering is tight

7. Self fit, if loose tie with a hair band or clip at the back

8. For a tighter fit, fold the covering inside itself

9. Pull the covering over your head with the fold at the bottom

10. To wear like a balaclava see instructions on the right.

Cleaning instructionsThe Antiviral Face Covering is multi-use for extended periods of time. We recommend hand washing when appropriate at the discretion of the user or in alignment with the usage risk assessment. Hand washing will help to restore the covering to its original shape and fit after prolonged use.

The product can be hand washed 3 times in warm water without detergent.

Our recommendation is conservative and is based on testing and an analysis of the available science.
