Todas la piedras mostradas en éstas páginas, proceden de canteras operadas
por Gallos. Esas canteras han sido seleccionadas a lo largo de generaciones
por su potencial arquitectónico y sus características físicas.
La piedras de Gallos tienen mayor resistencia a la compresión que la mejor de las
formulaciones de concreto a base de cemento portland y uno de los más altos
valores en resistencia a la flexión de las piedras en la familia de los mármoles.
El agua no las afecta y además exceden ampliamente la más severa de las pruebas
de Congelamiento. (Norma DIN 5122104 B)
La explicación para éstos extraordinarios valores de resistencia física no ha sido aún
encontrada, pero es común atribuirla a la elevada altitud, arriba de los 4000
metros, en la Cordillera de los Andes, en la cual nuestras canteras han sido
geológicamente formadas.
Todas la piedras mostradas en éstas páginas, proceden de canteras operadas
