Our Reclaimed Heart Pine Collection is made from true, century-old heart pine lumber reclaimed from the Dan River Textile Mill in Virginia, USA. The

slow growth and natural aging of the wood creates its characteristically beautiful golden auburn hues and rich patina. Authentic features include nail holes, wood plugs, chiseled bevels and a pronounced grain pattern—a true testament to its authenticity and irrefutable value. Preserving this precious, limited material in lasting and authentic planks is something very important to Antique Impressions.

Antique Impressions’ Reclaimed Heart Pine portrays its century old past through seasoning checks and other natural effects caused by weathering. Nail holes less than ½" in diameter which are filled with our unburnished looking filler, complement the natural patina of the wood. Bolt holes and larger defects are repaired with natural heart pine patches for the most authentic, original look possible.

Slow, natural aging and the woods inherent density gives it a hardness approaching that of oak.
