Dear Church Family,

What you are holding in your hand is the result of a clear word from God to me in a season of prayer last year. His Word was to involve the mem-bers of Antioch in long-term relational places of service so collectively, we can serve our community and share the gospel with those we might never meet. I have obeyed that call and worked with our mission team to identify specific partners that we can join to show the love of Christ to some of this area’s most marginalized people. The result is this list of partners with information about how you can con-nect with them. Our goal is that in 2019, 100 Antioch Family members will find an ongoing place of service. Now, it is your turn to be obedient. Look at the opportunities, ask God where and when you can serve, and then make a phone call or send an email. Don’t just do what is convenient. Do what God leads you to do as you pray. I will be leading by example as I choose a specific partner for regular volunteer hours.

Service Partners 2019

Hearts of Christ (School Sponsorship Program in Belize)

• Assist with major mail outs in August and December at Manley Baptist in Morristown

• Staff a concession stand at UT football games during fall • Assist with packing and loading annual Belize shipment• Travel to Belize on a team in August to serve the School

Sponsorship Program • Assist with fundraising by signing up golf teams, acquiring

• Drive a box truck to either pick up furniture or assist a client family in moving to their new home

• Mentor or tutor children at the Johnson City Baptist Cen-ter near Tyler Apartments

• Maintenance and/or cleaning of the two houses at the Johnson City Baptist Center

Child Evangelism Fellowship (Gospel Outreach to children in the community

• Join a Good News Club team as teacher, registrar, snack person, music, tech assist., etc.

• Use face painting skills at neighborhood events• Serve as host or lead a five-day Backyard Bible Club

Agape Women’s Services (Abortion Alternative Center)

• Serve as Antioch’s contact person for the annual Baby Bottle fundraiser

• Practicing RN’s who can volunteer 3 hours a week with medical team

• People to provide snacks for ten week post-abortion BIble study August thru October

• Receptionist for Tuesdays from 9-12 am. • Donations of diapers, baby outfits (newborn-24 months),

wipes, baby lotion and shampoo, maternity clothes, gas cards, gift cards, etc.

Adoration Life

• Write letters to inmates still incarcerated• Organize your small group to provide a meal once per

Coalition for Kids (Afterschool outreach to at-risk children

• Organize your small group to lead a monthly 75 minute activity time called Kids in Action (training provided)

• Serve for 90 minutes one day a week or one day a month to assist children with homework and talk with them. Opportunity here is for a long-term relationship with a particular child

• Attend one of 3 meals weekly to build relationships with the students who can’t get home during the holidays

• Assist with an ESL (conversational English) class on Thursday nights. The only requirements is to be able to speak English and carry on a conversation
