The End Times

The End Times

• 5. A War in Heaven Breaks Out

• Michael the Archangel and his angels cast Satan out of the second heaven and onto the earth.

• The Devil becomes furious when this event occurs because he knows that his time is short.


• 6. The Abomination of Desolation

• Three and half years into the Tribulation, the Antichrist will break his peace treaty with Israel, seat himself up in their rebuilt temple and proclaim himself to be God.


• 7. The 7 Seal Judgments

• These 7 judgments will probably occur during the first half of the Tribulation.

• They are as follows:

• a) The Antichrist will be released and allowed to set out to conquer the earth.

• b) The Antichrist will be allowed to take peace from the earth and cause many people to kill one another.


• c) The Antichrist will cause slave labor conditions to exist where people will be working for minimum pay just to be able to buy enough food for a day.

• d) The martyrs will cry out to God in heaven to avenge their deaths. God says to wait just a little while longer.


• e) God causes a great earthquake to hit the earth, causing every mountain and every island to move out of its place. He also causes the sun to turn black and the moon to look like blood.

• f) There is silence in heaven for a half an hour. An angel offers the prayers of God's people to Him to avenge them.


• 8. The 7 Trumpet Judgments

• These 7 judgments will occur during the middle to latter part of the Tribulation.

• They are as follows:

• a) God rains down hail and fire upon the earth - burning up one third of the trees and all of the green grass.

• b) God releases a meteor into the sea turning one third of the sea into blood, killing one-third of all living creatures in the sea and destroying one third of the ships that are on the sea.

• c) God releases another meteor, hitting one third of the rivers and springs, causing contamination of the water and many men to die.


• d) God strikes a third of the sun, a third of the moon and a third of the stars so that they give no light. This causes a third of the day not to shine.

• e) The bottomless pit is allowed to open up releasing a huge swarm of locusts to attack all the people who do not have God's seal on their foreheads. They are not allowed to kill these people, but to just torment them with their bite. These people will be seeking death and will not be able to find it.


• f) 4 demonic angels are released from the Euphrates river to kill a third of mankind. These 4 demonic angels will lead an army of 200 million demonic spirits to carry out this mass slaughter of humans.

• g) Heaven is now beginning to rejoice because God is releasing His wrath upon the wicked on the earth and extracting His vengeance. God then releases more lightnings, another earthquake and more great hail upon the earth.




• 9. The 7 Bowl Judgments

• These 7 judgments will occur during the latter part of the Tribulation. They are as follows:

• a) God causes loathsome sores to fall upon those who have the mark of the Beast.

• b) God causes the entire sea waters to become blood - killing every living creature in the seas.


• c) God causes all the rivers and springs to turn into blood.

• d) God causes the heat from the sun to scorch men with great heat and fire.

• e) God causes total darkness to fall upon the kingdom of the Antichrist.


• f) The Euphrates river is allowed to dry up so as to prepare the way for the kings of the east to come to the battle of Armageddon.

• Then 3 demonic spirits are released from the mouths of the Antichrist and False Prophet and they go out to all the kings of the earth to bring all of them to the battle of Armageddon.


• g) God causes the greatest and most severe earthquake to hit the earth. The city of Babylon is completely finished off and swallowed up whole. This earthquake causes all of the islands to flee away and all of the mountains to be no longer found.

• God then rains down great hailstones weighing 135 pounds each.

• God then says: "It is done."


• 10. The Battle of Armageddon

• All the nations of the world come against Jerusalem.

• Half of the city will go into captivity, houses will be rifled and the women ravished.

• Then deliverance comes!


• Main Events That Will OccurAfter the Tribulation

• 1. The Second Coming of Jesus

• Immediately following the Tribulation and right in the middle of the battle of Armageddon, Jesus literally descends from heaven where every eye will be able to see Him. Jesus will land on the Mount of Olives and He will then destroy all of the invading armies who have come against Jerusalem.


• Their flesh will dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes will dissolve in their sockets and their tongues will dissolve in their mouths.

• Jesus then throws the Antichrist and False Prophet into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone.

• Jesus then throws Satan into the bottomless pit where he is kept chained up for a 1000 years.

• The rest of unsaved humanity is kept in Hades until the 1000 Millennium Kingdom is over.

The Likely Scenario of End Time Events

• As we saw last week everyone is familiar with the Bible's prediction of the “Battle of Armageddon” between Christ at his return and the world's armies under the Antichrist, but very few, even among Christians, are aware that the Bible speaks about another nuclear war preceding it.

• Many Middle East cities will be incinerated in one day.

• The world will be shocked and outraged. • Who will participate in this unexpected nuclear

war?


• Israel will strike out with nuclear missiles or bombing runs against several Muslim countries.

• This may be in response to a United Arab-Muslim attack, or as an escalation in the recurring wars with Gaza and Lebanon, or may be to prevent the finalization of nuclear weapons manufacture in Iran or Syria.

• Damascus will be only one of the Muslim cities destroyed in the war, which leaves very little of the Muslim Middle East left and results in serious international consequences.


• After the shocking and devastating Islamic defeat, the Bible appears to indicate that there will be widespread panic and severe economic consequences throughout the world, much like a worldwide “9-11” event.

• Why have Christians never heard such a major prophecy as this before? One of the reasons is that the prophecies of this war are all in the Old Testament and none are found in the Book of Revelation. However, these prophecies of destruction on Muslim cities are repeated in several of the so-called Major and Minor prophets:

The Likely Scenario of End Time Events• Isaiah 17:1 An oracle against Damascus: Look,

Damascus is no longer a city. It has become a ruined heap.

• Here Isaiah clearly prophesy’s that Damascus, the perennial capital of Syria, will be no more a city, but will lie in ruins. Some commentators state that this prophecy was partially fulfilled in 732 BC when the Assyrians conquered Damascus, but Damascus has never been “destroyed” to the point it ceased to be a city; in fact, Damascus is widely acclaimed as the “oldest continuously inhabited city” in the world.


• Jeremiah 49:23-27 About Damascus: Hamath and Arpad are put to shame... 24 Damascus has become weak; she has turned to run; panic has gripped her. Distress and labor pains have seized her like a woman in labor. 25 How can the city of praise not be abandoned, the town that brings Me joy? 26 Therefore, her young men will fall in her public squares; all the warriors will be silenced in that day. ... 27 I will set fire to the wall of Damascus; it will devour Ben–hadad’s citadels.


• Amos 1:3-5 The Lord says: I will not relent from punishing Damascus for three crimes, even four, because they threshed Gilead with iron sledges. 4 Therefore, I will send fire against Hazael’s palace, and it will consume Ben–hadad’s citadels. 5 I will break down the gates of Damascus. I will cut off the ruler from the Valley of Aven, and the one who wields the scepter from Beth–eden. The people of Aram will be exiled to Kir.


• Isaiah 17:12-14 Ah! The roar of many peoples— they roar like the roaring of the seas. The raging of the nations— they rage like the raging of mighty waters. 13 The nations rage like the raging of many waters. He rebukes them, and they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills and like dead thistles before a gale. 14 In the evening—sudden terror! Before morning—it is gone! This is the fate of those who plunder us and the lot of those who ravage us.


• Look at the description: • 1. “the roar of many peoples and the raging of

many nations”, indicates that this takes place during an already occurring war, or at least during anti-Israeli posturing.

• 2. “In the evening—sudden terror! Before morning—it is gone!”, tells us that it is likely nuclear.

• 3. “those who plunder...ravage us” indicates this is during an attack or is at least waged against those who have attacked previously.


• Review: Confirming The Sequence Of End Times Events

• He replied, "When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times." (Matt. 16:2-3)


• So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. (Matt. 24:15-16)

• For then there will be great distress (Great Tribulation), unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. (Matt. 24:21)


• When it comes to developing any kind of time line concerning the End Times, the watershed event has to be the Abomination that Causes Desolation. Why? Because from that time forward, the Bible gives a very clear sequence of events.

• First, the Abomination is the event that kicks off the Great Tribulation, a period of judgments 3 1/2 years long.(Matt 24:15,21)

• After the Great Tribulation, the Lord returns and following His return the Millennium begins.


• The Abomination can’t happen till the Temple’s built. But that can’t happen till a 7-year covenant is confirmed permitting its construction. (By the way, this 7-year period is often called Daniel’s 70th week because it’s the last week of years in a prophecy consisting of 70 weeks of years given to Daniel in about 538 BC. Dan. 9:24-27)

• The 7-year covenant can’t happen till someone from among the descendants of the Roman people emerges with a plan for peace in the Middle East.


• And that can’t happen till the battle described in Ezekiel 38-39 puts the Middle East in all out war.

• Ezekiel’s battle can’t happen until God is ready to reveal Himself to Israel again, bringing Jews from all over the world to Israel clamoring for a Temple so they can re-instate their Old Covenant relationship with Him.

• For all of my 25 plus years as a student of prophecy, scholars have been expecting the Battle of Ezekiel 38.


• Yet the conditions that make it possible have never been met.

• For one thing, the participants are not all in place, but more importantly Israel has never known a single day of peace, let alone the prolonged period necessary for them to be described as a peaceful and unsuspecting people, the way Ezekiel did (Ezek. 38:11).


• Something has to happen to make them feel like they no longer have a threatening enemy while leaving Iran, Russia, and the other nations Ezekiel identified in position to attack.

• Recently, several writers, myself included, have seen two other Old Testament prophecies as likely preludes to Ezekiel 38.

• In Psalm 83 it appears that all of Israel’s next door neighbors will rise up in an attack intended to destroy the Jewish nation, and Isaiah 17 specifically mentions Israel’s destruction of Damascus.


• The defeat of Israel’s neighbors fills in two more blanks in the end times sequence.

• First, it explains why none of them are mentioned in Ezekiel 38, when logic dictates that they should be right in the thick of things.

• Second, it reveals how the Jews can be caught with their guard down.

• With Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah, Lebanon, and the others defeated, Israel will finally have some breathing room.


• The Battle of Psalm 83/Isaiah 17, the Battle of Ezekiel 38, anti-Christ’s appearance as a peace maker, the 70th week of Daniel begins, the Abomination that Causes Desolation takes place, then the Great Tribulation, the Second Coming, the Millennium, and Eternity.

• The first of these could be very close. • So close that you can almost hear the

footsteps of the Messiah. 11-05-08


• As for signing the treaty after the Lord has just won them a great victory, I think it’ll be seen as a world leader acknowledging that fact and acting to help them. Isaiah 49:22-23 tells them that when they return to God, it will be Gentile Kings who’ll be helping them.

The Likely Scenario of End Time Events• "If Israel does nuke Damascus, I believe the whole world

will step back in shock and the cry will be for peace [Hello Antichrist] before things get further out of hand, not retaliation. It’s possible that the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 would even set the stage for the false peace that precedes Ezekiel 38.

• In summary, while Isaiah 17 could take place before winter, Ezekiel 38 is probably still a ways off."

• The warplanes overflew the Lebanese port city of Sidon on Tuesday morning, a Press TV correspondent reported.

• Tel Aviv has repeatedly accused Hezbollah of making preparations to attack Israel to avenge the murder of its commander Imad Mughniyeh.

• Mughniyeh was killed in a car bomb attack in Damascus last year.

• This comes as Hezbollah lawmaker Hassan Hoballah has affirmed that the Lebanese movement has no intention to go to war despite "the recent propaganda against it".

• Tel Aviv launched a massive onslaught against the Gaza Strip on December 27 and put its army personnel stationed along the Lebanese border on high alert earlier this week.



• Israeli forces crossed the border into the Gaza Strip late Saturday night and launched a ground incursion into the densely populated region.

• The offensive has so far left over 584 Palestinians killed and 3000 others wounded.

• The Israeli war on the populated strip began on December 27.

• Citing an unnamed Lebanese official, the London-based Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday that the Lebanese resistance is fully prepared not to allow "Israel a chance to avenge its defeat in the July 2006 war and has therefore raised its alert level for defense purposes."

• Israel is expected to take advantage of the transition in the White House "to embark on a new adventure" and change the status quo on the Lebanese border, the Al-Hayat report adds.

• In a recent report, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy revealed that Israel's determination to curb Hezbollah's military and political prowess has strengthened the likelihood of another Israel-Lebanon war.

• Earlier on Tuesday, the Lebanese army announced that at least six Israeli warplanes had flown over several regions of the country in violation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which put an end to the 33-day war in the summer of 2006.

• The Israeli overflights come as Israel has called up thousands of its reserve troops and put some of them along its northern border with Lebanon earlier this week.

• Author of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy report Nicholas Blanford told Press TV correspondent Ali Rizk in an October interview that UN Resolution 1701, which ended the second Israeli war on Lebanon, would never be sufficient to maintain calm.

• "Yes, 1701 stopped the war obviously in 2006. It stopped the fighting. I mean it saved the Israelis, the Israelis were obviously in deep trouble as various internal investigations and reports and commissions have elaborated," said Blanford.

and unhappiness with the outcome of the war," he continued.

• According to Blanford, the US presidential elections as well as the upcoming elections in Israel, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran are key political developments that could easily "trigger a war".

• Other political analysts also believe that a third Israeli war against Lebanon may be in the offing.

• "This is not the first time that the Israelis threaten Lebanon.

• There have been a lot of threats ever since the end of the July war in 2006 and its humiliating defeat has been a blow to the whole Israeli military institution," says political analyst Ibrahim Moussawi.

• Following the trip to Syria, Sarkozy visited French United Nations peacekeepers in south Lebanon and said that a deal to end the Israeli offensive in Gaza was "not far" away.



• He said: "I'm convinced that there are solutions. We are not far from that. What is needed is simply for one of the players to start for things to go in the right direction."

• Sarkozy said he was returning to Sharm el-Sheikh to meet with Hosni Mubarak, the Egyptian president, to work out the details of a peace plan.



• "I do not know if it will work. I am telling you that I am trying and if I am going back there Sharm el-Sheikh it is because there is a small hope," he said.

• The president had said on Monday that he was working on an initiative with Egypt but declined to give details because of "extremely complex negotiations".

• During Sarkozy's visit to Syria, Al-Assad said that any initiative for a truce must stop what he described as Israel's war crimes in Gaza and lift the blockade in the besieged territory.

• "And we don't have days or weeks. Unless the situation is remedied swiftly we will face a very dire situation."

• Diplomats in the Syrian capital said that France wanted Syria to exert its influence with Hamas to make sure that any ceasefire sticks, but Syria has been careful not to be seen as acting as a guardian of Israel's security.

• Sarkozy's peace-brokering mission in the region is just one of many diplomatic efforts around the world aimed at ending the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip.

• Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey's prime minister, has completed a week-long tour to Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Saudia Arabia, in which he outlined a two-stage proposal to end the conflict.



• The proposed agreement would secure a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and then work to end the division of the Palestinians.

• Erdogan condemned Israel's offensive as "Savagery" on Tuesday and said it was a bid by the Israeli leadership to score points ahead of general elections in February.



• Referring to the Israeli ministers of defence and foreign affairs, Erdogan said:

• "I am telling Ehud Barak and (Tzipi) Livni to forget about the elections, because history will judge them for the black stain they are leaving on humanity."



• Israel "has suffered much in history and should know best the sanctity of human life, especially that of women and children… and the importance of the culture of co-existence."

• Tony Blair, the Middle East envoy for the Quartet comprising the United Nations, the European Union, Russia and the United States, has met with several Israeli and Palestinian officials in recent days, and has called on Hamas to work towards a ceasefire to stop the "appalling suffering" in Gaza.

• The former British prime minister said that the international community wanted dialogue with Hamas, but they had to end violence first.



• Speaking to BBC radio in Jerusalem, he said: "There are circumstances in which we could get an immediate ceasefire.

• Those circumstances focus very much around clear action to cut off the supply of arms and money through the tunnels that go from Egypt into Gaza."



• "The Egyptians, in principle, are prepared to do this, they want to do it, they recognise it's in their own interests as well".

• Israel rejected European proposals for a ceasefire and the deployment of international observers following talks on Monday with a high-level EU delegation in Jerusalem.

• Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, will address the UN Security Council in New York later on Tuesday, but as diplomatic efforts continue UN staff on the ground say time is running out.

• They say Gazans have little food and water left and that the injured are dying because of the lack of medicine.

• Canaan had been a collection of city-states, tributary to the Egyptian Pharoah, as attested to in the Tel- El Amarna tablets.

• The breakup of the Egyptian empire beginning about 1500 BCE made possible the invasion of the Hebrews. The map shows the probable location of cities in Canaan about 1200 BCE.
