DHEA – Dehydroepiandrosterone Precursor to the sex hormones estrogen and testosterone. Somatomedin (IGF-1) Measures growth hormone levels. Testosterone (free & total) Women and men both are affected by the drop in testosterone levels because of aging. Insulin Helpful in the diagnosis of insulin resistance and type II diabetes. Homocysteine Elevated homocysteine levels have been linked to increased risk of heart attack, poor brain function, and bone fracture.
