So many fathers have abandoned their families in Latin America and those women and children need men who can portray the image of a faithful, loving, Godly man. We need more women and a lot more men to step up and grab the passion.

CFCI-Brazil works in a very poor area of the city bringing hope to many through several different types of ministries.

Medellin is located in the Andes Mountains of northwest Colombia at an altitude of 5,000 feet. On the mountainsides are hundreds of squat-ter communities. CFCI-Medellin reaches out to these communities with HOPE.

Americans know Costa Rica as a tourist destination. Beautiful beaches, lovely resorts. Yet, the fringes of the capital city of San Jose give way to open sewers, dirt streets and houses made of corrugated tin.

CFCI-Costa Rica is penetrating the spiritual darkness here with the Gospel of Christ as well as meeting basic needs and bringing healing to a hurting world.

San Salvador is the largest, most prosperous city in the nation. While the downtown shopping areas are full of sleek malls and tall buildings, other areas of the city are rife with gangs and widespread poverty. CFCI- El Salvador is bringing the Kingdom into this nation. CFCI knows that many youth who are left to their own devices join gangs and fall into destructive lifestyles. We extend a hand to at-risk youth through our Soccer Training School and address the physical needs of families living in impoverished neighborhoods through our medical clinics. We organize regular outreach efforts bringing food, clothes and the Gospel to the poorest areas of the city.

Located on the Niger River, CFCI works in Bamako, the largest city in Mali with two million people. It is the fastest growing city in Africa with many rural workers moving into the city to find jobs. This has caused many problems. CFCI—Mali works in Bamako to bring HOPE!

Mexico

Thousands of children live on the streets of Tijuana...many exploited in the Red Light District. They are looking for a better life. They need HOPE.

On the beautiful beaches of Tuxpan, you’ll find broken-down homes and hungry families. Tuki, CFCI’s big yellow pick-up truck, drives up and down the beach on Saturday mornings with bread from a local bakery. Children and adults run out to Tuki with outstretched arms...for both the bread and the hugs they receive from CFCI workers. It’s an amazing sight.

Nicaragua

Ravaged by civil war, poverty and natural disasters, peace has eluded the Nicaraguan people for too long. Turmoil has caused much of the body of Christ to lose their sense of self-worth.

Only within the past 15 years have the people experienced the beginnings of restoration. Still, nearly half of the population lives on less than $2 a day. Innocent children suffer from malnutrition, chronic health problems and lack of proper education.

Of the 29 million people who call Peru home, nearly half live in extreme poverty. Most live in urban squatter settlements cluttering the mountains and hillsides outside major cities.

Seville, Spain, is the headquarters for this CFCI city base, but CFCI-Spain isn’t contained within that city. This inner-healing ministry goes to many European and Asian nations, reaching out to the world with HOPE through healing!

I was in El Salvador for five weeks helping out with a Christian soccer school and teaching English at a local elementary school. It was hard to leave my friends and family and the comfort I had back in America. My time in El Salvador was tough because of this, but it was the sweetest fellowship I’ve EVER had with Christ. It was a great opportunity to “go outside the camp” (Heb 13:13) and it also gave me a global vision for the church.

Most people are familiar with the story about the woman at the well in John, where Jesus went out of His way to speak love and truth into a Samaritan woman’s life. Nicaragua was my well. I feel like Jesus took me away from my busy and repetitive lifestyle and brought me into an environment where He knew I would be able to hear Him more clearly. He reminded me numerous times and in powerful ways how much He loves me and who I am in Christ. Through Nicaragua, God taught me that no matter where I go or what I go through He will be right there by my side to face it with me.
