Breeding Program
Estrus and AI Beginning around December 1st 5 Mares are put in a barn that is lit up by 100-watt bulbs for a minimum of
14.5 hours of continuous light for 10 weeks. Artificial insemination will take place around the first week of February, when
the mare comes into heat. Cooled semen is bought from Ward River Ranch

Five mares are let out in pasture in April Stallion is let out in May, a month later than mares The mares will be checked for pregnancy daily
Biosecurity
Any outside horses brought to the ranch will be quarantined from the other horses for about two months.
Don't share any horse equipment with neighbors or other horse people. Care for sick horses after other horses Clean and disinfect often Remove feces often Restrict visitor access
