Anonymous Peer Feedback- in class

Where there isn’t a question it is because they didn’t have a response.

What I have taken from the feedback I have got….

• The aspects of the video that promote the track are the night shots and scenery and the use of street lamps and lighting.

• How the video matches to the genres conventions- pace is slow, visuals are shot at night, good use of lots of opacity and the lip syncing fitting.

• The creative use of technical skills are presented by.. The variety of different shots, good use of close ups, camera still and controlled, good editing of lip syncing and a good pace to editing.

• What my audience from feedback enjoyed: the manikins in the masks, the use of soft and full focus, the over-laying of different opacities and the (sort of) circular narrative.

What improvements I have made from the feedback given….

• I realised that some of the shots were quite long, so I have used some different transitions into scenery shots to keep the audience interested and do more over-laying to keep the pace moving.

• I tried to edit areas of the shots out from where the manikins moved slightly.

In this clip I changed the Length of the scenes byBreaking the clip up and Going in and out of the Flashback

Here I used another over-Lay with different opacitiesSo that the clip is ‘busy’ andKeeps the audience Interested.

I extended the verse into theChorus to make the clips flowAnd bring more action intoThe clip.

I used a scenery shot andBlurred it into the last shotTo make it reflect on the First clip in the music videoAnd emphasize the idea of a Circular narrative.

Some areas for improvement I see as light suggestions, so I have chosen to accept their opinions, yet keep the video almost as it was before apart from the above changes. My feedback has been very positive so far, yet I feel even though this feedback was anonymous I should get people from out of my class to give me feedback so that they don’t feel obliged to please me with their opinions. So I shall be using a focus group of a random group of people for my last form of feedback before releasing the video as my final version. The focus group will also be looking at my digipak and poster so that they can give me feedback on the whole promotional package and how they link together to promote the video.
