ANNUAL SPORTS DAY The annual sports day was held during school hours in the school ground. The aim behind hold- ing the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children. The day was a fun filled feast of laughter, energy and delight as around 400 students presented and participated in various activities. The event began with the march past performed by the students from Grade LKG onwards. A melodious musical performance by Junior and Senior band laid the ground for other lovely performances. Notable among them were various kinds of races including back gear race, relay race, display of drill by students of Skating, Golf, Taekwondo, Lawn Tennis and Cricket. One highlight of the event was the "dupatta drill" presented by children of Grade 6- 9. The event concluded with a fun race held for parents. It regaled the students, spectators and participants as they discovered the hidden child in themselves. The Principal Sir also thanked parents for their support and encouragement that lent charm to the event.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

The annual sports day was held during school hours in the school ground. The aim behind hold-

ing the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children. The

day was a fun filled feast of laughter, energy and delight as around 400 students presented and

participated in various activities. The event began with the march past performed by the students

from Grade LKG onwards. A melodious musical performance by Junior and Senior band laid the

Students of grade 5 were taught how to make tea. Chil-

dren were taken to the pantry and were shown the pro-

cess of making tea. They were taught how much quantity

of the ingredients is required for making tea and how to

take tea out in a cup. Children enjoyed the activity and

promised to make it for

their parents.

BEST USE OF WASTE – GRADE 1

Students of Grade 1 did an art and craft activity related to

the topic in E.V.S- ‘Up in the sky’. They collected used home

foil and then made a rocket with colourful paper cuttings.

They also cut the pictures of astronauts, stars

and moon with used home foil and pasted the

pictures on a handmade sheet to show the pic-

ture of space.

TEA MAKING – GRADE 5

The students of Grade 9 bid a farewell to their seniors dur-

ing a farewell party. The farewell party was organised at

school premises where all the seniors and juniors had a lot

of fun together. The seniors received a warm welcome by

the juniors as they entered wearing elegant attire. The pro-

gramme began with the juniors performances. The juniors

enthusiastically performed farewell songs for the seniors;

they sang the goodbye songs which again created an ambi-

ence full of emotions. The juniors were dressed in western

attires too. The programme was followed with the group

dance performances where the juniors gave outstanding

performances on traditional and modern Hindi, Punjabi and

English songs. The juniors created an ambience of enjoy-

ment for the seniors to enjoy their last memories at school.

Further, the event was made memorable with the flashback

memories that were shared by some seniors. The senior

students said that they will always remember their school

days and the faculty members also wished them luck and

well being for their future. Later the programme was followed

with the award ceremony and title distribution. Awards were

given to the seniors keeping in mind their caliber and capa-

bility they had shown throughout the party. Principal Sir and

other faculty members wished them luck for their future en-

deavours. The seniors were asked to do their best and face

life challenges with confidence.

The Inter -House Dance Competition was held in

the school campus for Grade 3 to 6. The partici-

pants were from each house and from each Grade.

Singing competition was also held between partici-

pants of grade 7 to 9. Each participant was given

two minutes for a solo dance performance and

three minutes for a solo song. Saahas House

emerged as the winner for Inter – House Dance

Competition whereas Sanyam House was the win-

ner for Inter -House Singing Competition.

The 9th School level Handwriting Olympiad 2018-19 was

held at our school recently. 81 students participated in that

Olympiad from classes 1 to 10. There were 3 categories. .

In Category B, Akansha Verma of class 5 got the 1st posi-

tion, Amrita Verma of class 8 got the 2nd position and Krish-

na Atri of class 6 got the 3rd position. In category C, Rohan

Budania of class 3 got the 1st position, Tiya Sahi of class 4

got the 2nd position and Seerat Saini of class 2 got the 3rd

position. Consolation prizes were given

to Arya Saggar of class 1,MangeetKaur

of class 2 and Nevin Lohan of class

2.The students who got the first position

were given a trophy. The students who

got the 2nd and 3rd position were given

silver and bronze medals. The students

who got consolation prizes were also

given bronze medals. They were given

certificates too.

INTER - HOUSE SINGING AND DANCE COMPETITION

INTER - HOUSE EXTEMPORE COMPETITION

An Inter - House Extempore Competition

was held in the month of February 2019 at

ATSV school. Grade 1 and 2 had their

Show and Tell competition. Grade 3 and 4

had to speak either on "Seasons" or

"Festivals". Grade 5 and 6 were given top-

ics, "If I am stuck in a forest "or "If I had a

magic pen "Harmful effects of social media

"and "Importance of Life skills" were the

topics given to Grade 7 to 9. All the four

houses named Nyaya, Sanyam, Vivek and

Saahas participated enthusiastically.
