The Pre-Primary Wing of Jodhamal Public School, celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great zeal and enthusiasm in the school skating rink. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Karandeep Kour as the Chief Guest, Nandan Kuthiala and Arati Kuthiala, Trustees of the School, Trilok Singh Bist, Principal and Monika Sethi, Vice Principal of the School. Nandani Bakshi, Sr Coordinator (CCA) and Neetu Johri, Coordinator Pre-Primary Wing declared the games open by presenting dignitaries with tri-colour balloons, to be released in the air. The day witnessed various events with an innovative theme right from play group to UKG like Penguine Race, Santa & Fairy, Rabbit & Carrot, Flag Race, Cartoon Character Race, Banana Race, Balloon Bursting, Pack the Bag and Skating (Musical Chairs) etc.

Jodhamal Public School celebrated Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony with great fervour and gaiety. The program began with traditional lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest, Mrs Sarla Kohli, Trustee Mr. Nandan kuthiala, Director Mrs. Arati kuthiala, Guest of Honour Mrs. Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice Chairperson of Jammu Sanskrit School and Dr. Renu gupta, Principal Army Public School Damana, thereafter Principal Mr. Trilok Singh Bist extended a warm welcome to all the guests and parents. He congratulated all the kids and wished them best for the future endeavour. Mr Bist said that the management is looking forward for the better prospects for each child entering the portals of Jodhamal and aiming at greater height.

Class XI at JMPS gave a wonderful send-off to the outgoing Class XII and the best thing about the whole Event was Students of JMPS whether Grade XII or Grade XI conducted themselves so gracefully and decently. Jodhamal believes in developing the Whole Body of a child and not just mind. Mind, Soul and Heart to be developed to give better citizens to this World is the mantra on which the working of Jodhamal Public School revolves around. Mayank Bali & Sheikh Snober were adjudged as the Mr. & Ms. Jodhamal 2017. Aryan Katal & Navisha Gupta were adjudged as Mr. & Ms. Charming, Parth Johri & Ishita Dhar were adjudged as Mr. & Ms. Perfect, Ayushman Pandita & Nandani Kapoor were adjudged Mr. & Ms. Best Well Dressed and Shvas Narang & Danish Koul were adjudged as the Mr. & Ms. Paragon for 2017 Batch. Under the Guidance of Ms Ashima Sharma, PGT Chemistry, the team of class IX organised the event in commendable manner. The School Management, Principal Trilok Singh Bist and Vice Principal Ms. Monika Sethi wished all the students good luck and very best for all their future endeavours.

JODHAMAL ORGANISES TWO DAYS DENTAL CAMP
The Political Science Department of Jodhamal Public School organised the first annual Political Science Event ‘POLIFEST’ where fifteen different schools participated from Jammu and Punjab. The event involved a power point presentation followed by a debate competition on the topic “Global Citizenship-A Growing Concern for Developing Economies”. This was an initiative of Jodhamal Public School to provide an opportunity to both Govt. as well as Private Convent Schools to be at one platform to learn from each other. The Chief Guest for the first season of POLIFEST was Hon’ble Justice (RETD.) O.P SHARMA and the Guest of Honour was Mr Naveen Chopra the renowned educationist and the panel of Judges for the event involved Prof. M.Tajjudin HOD Political Science, University of Jammu, Dr Seema Rohmetra Assistant Professor Law School, University of Jammu and Dr Seema Sharma Sr. Assistant Professor Law School, University of Jammu.
Under the aegis of TAP every year the International Youth Conference is organised on the Earth Day either at, The Doon School or the Welham Boys on alternate years. It is a privilege that Jodhamal always gets the invitation for this Conference. Last year also Jodhamal won the Best Presentation and this Year they won the Best Team Work Award for their presentation on Electrostatic Precipitator to filter the smoke coming out of the chimneys of the Brick Kilns. Principal Jodhamal appreciated the Participants Aabhas Verma, Manaswini Oswal and Arya Abrol for the wonderful presentation and team work and also appreciated the contribution of their teachers and Shabab Alam & Vinamalin Verma in making this. They were helped by their teachers Ms. Roopinder Kaur and Ms. Mubeen Butt who were their Mentors. The Project was worth putting at the IPSC Stage and getting accolades.
A two day Dental Camp was organized at Jodhamal
Public School, Channi Himmat, Jammu. The camp
was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Umang
Jamwal. She has been a distinction holder and has
been awarded by the Hon’ble Health Minister of
Himachal Pradesh, Sh. Rajveer Bindal. The event
covered a presentation lecture on various aspects of
dental problems and hygiene. During the event, free
sample kits were provided to the students to spread
awareness across the society.
An UN Collaboration Meeting to fulfil the Sustainable Development Goals was held at Jodhamal Public School Jammu. Each school representative presented power point presentation and video clips of allotted goal. The best power point presentation award was received by Jodhamal public school. Padamshree S.P Verma, Vice Pesident of Gandhi Global Family and Dr Seema Rohmetra, Coordinator of Gandhi Peace Foundation Jammu Chapter, appreciated school’s efforts to promote goal No.6 - Clean Water and Sanitation not only in school but also in Govt schools, which have been adopted by Jodhamal fraternity. Jammu Sanskriti School won 2nd prize and Model Academy bagged third prize for their presentation. On the occasion of this meeting, Padamshree S.P Verma, Vice President of Gandhi global family J&K. Mr Trilok Singh Bist, Principal of Jodhamal Public School presented vote of thanks and applauded the efforts of different school Coordinators. He also congratulated his team comprising of Mrs. Ritu Jhinkwan and Mr. Vikas Bakshi for their tireless efforts in conducting regular activities and Power Point Presentation on Goal No. 6 i.e. Clean Water and Sanitation.

UN COLLABORATION MEETING HELD AT JODHAMAL
Jodhamal Public School Jammu and Kashmir chapter hosted the two days celebration of opinions at Jodhamal Public School. More than 10 Schools of Jammu & Kashmir came together to be part of Vox Populi-The Debating Phenomenon. On the fisrt day of the opening ceremony had Director Education, Mr. Bablia Rakwal as the chief guest, Mrs Vijya Puri, an eminent educationalist and founder secretary of Jammu Sahodaya as Presiding Officer, Mrs Nirmal Mahna and Mr Pramod Srivastava, the Principal from DPS, Rajbagh and Model Academy respectively as the Guests of Honour. On The second day Mr. Naveen Chopra and Mr. Rajesh Rathore the Principal of G D Goenka lured the students by their pep talk with the students on how to make a better leader. On the Closing Ceremony the Chief Guest IG Rajesh Kumar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Jodhamal won the Best Delegation Award and G D Goenka won the Best Small Delegation Award. Manasvini Oswal and Kshitij Sethi were the Overall Best Debaters of Vox Populi 2017-18. The programme came to a close with the closing speech of Shreyansh Bhalotia the President and Founder of Vox Populi. The Premier India Football Academy (PIFA) organised four days training camp at Jodhamal Public School, Jammu. They have been bringing International coaches for the thirteenth year in a row to India, to conduct football training camps and for the first time this PIFA Camp came to Jammu & Kashmir to conduct training camp at Jodhamal Public School. There were around 36 students from Jodhamal Public School who benefitted for this International Football Coaching Camp at Jodhamal wherein the Director PIFA, Ms. Anjali Shah with Mr. Nirvan Shah FA Level 1 & 2 (English FA) UEFA B License (English FA) AIFF Coach’s Instructor (All India Football Federation) Coach of PIFA Sports FC (I league 2nd division club) National Talent Scout (AIFF) and Mr. Mason Minister FA Level 1 & 2 {Bolton Wanderers FC) Working at Southampton FC (Community Coach) a PIFA Indian Coach , PIFA International Coach from Manchester and Prerak Bist, a MIFA Trained Goal Keeper who has played with Manchester United at Manchester were there to assist the PIFA Coaches in training the budding footballers.
PIFA TRAINING CAMP AT JODHAMAL SCHOOL
Sahodaya School Complex Jammu Chapter in its endeavour to bring the best to the affiliate schools conducted a Sahodaya School Workshop on Phonetics and Effective Classroom Management. Mr. Rajesh Rathore, Principal G D Goenka took an initiative along with Trilok Singh Bist Principal Jodhamal Public School and President Jammu Sahodaya to travel a little extra mile and prepare the Teachers of almost 20 schools from Sahodaya Jammu to deliver the best in the interest of the stakeholders. In the Classroom Management Effectively Trilok Singh Bist told the teachers that we cannot have the same yard stick to measure the capability of a child since each child is individual so we need to plan our strategy as per the child's mind set, emotional acumen of the child and also on the basis of the creativity of a child. Monika Sethi, Vice Principal Jodhamal gave the vote of thanks. Jodhamal Trustee, Mr. Nandan Kuthiala and Director Ms. Arati Kuthiala appreciated the efforts of all Principals for coming under one umbrella in the interest of the students of Jammu City who are the biggest stakeholders of the Education system.
SAHODAYA TEACHER’S CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP AT JODHAMAL
In 12th National Matsogi-Do Championship in Bijapur, Karnataka, teams representing Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Telengana, Andhra Pradesh, Madya Pradesh, Puducherry, Gujarat, Bihar, Delhi and J&K State participated. A total of 11 students of Jodhamal School were members of the J&K Team. Jodhamal students put up a stunning performance and bagged 09 Gold, 08 Silver and 01 Bronze medals. The students, who won the medals are Kanwarwal Singh Sudan 02 Gold and 01 Silver, Aman Gupta, Nikunj Langer, Aryaveer Chouhan and Tejomay Singh one Gold each, Umar Chouhan, Janvi Mahajan & Shruti Suri one Gold and one Silver each. Manya Gupta 02 Silvers and Chetanaya Sharma 2 Silver and 01 Bronze. The President Matsogi-Do Federation of India also felicitated the winners. The school Principal, Mr. Trilok Singh Bist along with management applauded the students and the School Coach Mr Vishal Samrat for doing brilliantly well and making the Jodhamal School and J&K State proud.
JODHAMAL STUDENTS SHINE IN NATIONALS
JODHAMAL SKATER EXCELS
Jodhamal skaters excelled in recent competitions in the 62nd National Roller Skating held at Bengaluru (Karnataka). Ranveer Singh Shan of Class 3rd won the Bronze Medal and in the CBSE North Zone Roller Skating Championship held at Ajnala (Amritsar), Vansh Rajput of Class 10th clinched Silver Medal and Advitya Sharma of Class 3rd got Bronze Medal. The students were coached by Mr. Kamal Anand of JMPS. The winners were felicitated in a special assembly by Mr. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal of the School. He applauded the efforts of the students for adding more medals to the Jodhamal Family and encouraged them to strive and like this continue in the future also. The Principal said that we are really proud of JMPians and their success in every endeavour.
Gold in UNIC National Level Essay Competition
Vartika Ghai of Jodhamal won the First Prize and a Gold
Medal in National Level Essay Competition. Four other
kids from Jodhamal School participated in this
Competition and many students came in the merit list
where their essays were appreciated by the UNIC.
Vanshika Singh Andotra, Divya Bhardwaj, Panini
Sharma and Akriti were awarded the certificates of
appreciation for the beautiful essays they had written.
All the students were appreciated by the school
Principal, Trilok Singh Bist and the CCA Coordinator
Nandani Bakshi in a special assembly. He also
appreciated the efforts of Shri Ram Mission in
collaboration with UNIC for conducting such essay
competitions and this is the third year in a row
Jodhamal has been a part of this initiative and has done
well.

The KORFBALL Junior National team OF JODHAMAL
PUBLIC SCHOOL was declared 2nd Runner–up in the
recently held 24th Junior National Championship at
Kurukshetra held under the aegis of Korfball
Federations of India. The team comprised of Zitin Koul,
Mriganka Sharma, Naman Verma, Harsh, and Shrishti
Sharma. A total of 700 students from 26 states of the
country participated in the Championship. School Sub
Junior team comprising of Akankasha , Siya , Yuvraj and
Akshit team was also appreciated for being part of this
championship for the first time. The school
management lauded the effort of the team and its coach
Mr. Irfan who also won gold in his category at national
level.
Kanishka Kapoor of class 3 of Jodhamal Public School has
added another feather in the cap for the school as he has
been awarded Gold medal by Educational assessment
Australia, University of New South Wales, Australia
,(EAA-UNSW), for securing the highest grade among all
participating students from India, Bahrain, Bangladesh,
Bhutan, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal,
Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia ,Sri Lanka and UAE
in 2016-17 IAIS in Mathematics and also secured High
Distinction in English, Science and Digital technologies.
43 children from class 3 to 11 have also been awarded
High Distinction and Distinction Certificates from the
University of Australia.
Three students namely Arnav Talwar, Shivam Sanoria and Dhananjay Mahajan of Jodhamal School emerged winners in the prestigious and highly competitive “CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2016-17” held at Guru Harkrishan Sr. Secondary School Amritsar (Punjab) for the second consecutive year. More than 50 reputed CBSE schools from Punjab, Himachal, Haryana & J&K took part in this quiz. The team moved to Gurgaon to contest with top national schools at Blue Bells Model Senior Secondary School. The quizzers from Jodhamal were competing with over 200 schools from the north zone where team Jodhamal proved their mettle by securing the third position. The school Principal, Mr. Trilok Singh Bist congratulated the students for their exceptional performance and applauded the efforts of the mentor and quizmaster Mr. Sanjay Pandey for training and enhancing the quizzing skills of the quizzers.
INTERNATIONAL ASSESSMENT FOR INDIAN SCHOOLS
SMVD Narayana Super Speciality Hospital in collaboration with Jammu Links conducted a Stress Management
Workshop for the Board Students of Jodhamal Public School who are appearing for the Boards this March for
Grade X & Grade XII. A total of 374 students witnessed the Stress Management Workshop wherein the Resource
Person was Dr Ankush Sharma, Consultant Neurologist at SMVD Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, Ms. Kashish
Khosla, Mr. Abhishek & Mr. Ameet Raina from Narayana Hospital and Ms. Payal Jain from Jammu Links also gave a
pep talk to the students. He advised the students to be stress free and for that they need to follow whatever time
table they have made for themselves during the preparation time. Senior Coordinator (CCA) Nandani Bakshi gave
the vote of thanks and thanked Dr. Ankush and Payal Jain for sparing their valuable time and be there to talk to the
students of Jodhamal Public School. Just before the Stress Management Session Jodhamal organized a ‘Good Luck
Hawan’ for the Board Students to invoke the Gods to bless the dear students for their exams and also to ensure that
Gods and Goddesses stay with the kids during the boards.
Commissioner Income Tax Mr. S.K. Sharma took a session with the students of Jodhamal Public School today to sensitize the parents and elders of the society via these young ambassadors towards Income Tax payment on time. One session was taken by him and the other session was taken by Mr. Hemant Gupta the Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Department. They discussed with the students as to what and how the Income Tax collected is used in the interest of the society. Students had a wonderful interactive session with the Commissioner and Joint Commissioner in the presence of the ITO Mr. Raizada and a lot of students came up with unconventional queries too and they were all appreciated by the team from Income Tax Department. Principal Trilok Singh Bist offered the vote of thanks and thanked all dignitaries and the trustees Mr. Nandan Kuthiala & Mr. Vikrant Kuthiala for making this session happen at Jodhamal which is an integral part of the learning through experiences at Jodhamal.

COMMISSIONER INCOME TAX TAKES A SESSION WITH JODHAMAL STUDENTS
Jodhamal Public School conducted the Career Counselling
Session for the students of Grade X and their Parents in
the school OAT where the parents and students were
counselled on how and what subjects to take to make
their passion come on the surface. Resource person to
this session was the school Principal, Mr. Trilok Singh Bist
who started his session with a Video where he focussed
on the Hard Work and Success. Students and parents who
were the part of this session appreciated the complete
program and felt that they got a lot of insight into the
career options and were happy to know about almost 250
career options. The Session came to a close with the
introduction of all the PGTs of Jodhamal and a video on
How and Why should an Educational System have the
same yardstick to measure everybody's capability.

IGNCA-SPIC MACAY COLLABORATIVE KATHAK WORKSHOP AT JODHAMAL
A Five Days IGNCA-SPIC MACAY collaborative Workshop where almost 50 students from junior to senior students of
Jodhamal took part in the Kathak Workshop conducted by the renowned Kathak Maestro Mrs. Prerana Shrimali of
the Jaipur Gharana of Kathak. Mrs. Shrimali is the receipeint of the Sangeet Natak Academy Award for brilliant Kathak
and is now a Formal Guru for Kathak. One and all appreciated the collaborative work of Art and Music department
of Jodhamal since the Rangoli made on the theme for this workshop was beautiful and the art teachers pitched in for
it to get the ambience. Shrimali was assisted by Vishwadeep a Kathak teacher from Pathankot and was also assisted
by the Kathak teachers of Jodhamal namely Aadi Upadhyay & Shruti Bakshi both disciples of Vishwanath Guruji from
Jammu. Music Teachers Poonam Mahajan & Sahil Kumar also contributed for singing and tabla respectively to make
it all inclusive for the staff & students.
TCC-JODHAMAL U-15 TEAM REACHES SEMI-FINALS
The enterprising cricketers of TCC, Jodhamal create
sensation yet again reaching the semi-finals in 12th SP
Sinha Memorial National U-15 cricket tournament held at
I.P.S. Dehradun in a very short span of time. They proved
to be a tough competition to the teams who had come
from all over India The budding cricketers of TCC were led
by Aditya Abrol (Captain), Sushant Gupta, Sameer
Sharma, Harveer Singh, Devyanshu Kothiyaal, Piyush
Kundal, Tegvansh Singh, Shubhang Sethi, Chittej Singh,
Abu Bakar, Lavanya Shamra, Arnav Kapoor and Shivansh
Sharma. The team was coached by Sukomal Ganguly and
Akash Manhas.
TRINITY COLLEGE LONDON WORKSHOP
Trinity is an international exam board from UK with a
rich heritage of academic rigor and a positive
supportive approach to assessment. Around 61
teachers from class Pre Nursery to class 12 were
trained professionally to facilitate the students to take
the international Trinity exam. The study strands
include speech and drama, individual acting skills,
group performance, Shakespeare, communication
skills, musical theatre and performance arts. It gives a
platform to a child at international level to recognize,
develop and hone up various skills which are a need of
the time today. The resource persons were Ms Ritika
Ratna from Gurgaon, senior member of Trinity College
of London’s “Teacher Support Group” and Ms Susan, a
trained drama and communication-teacher,
curriculum builder and performer, working as head
trainer and head of international speech and drama
programs with the centre.
