On behalf of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology (HKCC), it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 28th Annual Scientific Congress of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology which will be held on 3 – 5 July 2020 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Education for cardiovascular professionals has always been the primary mission of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology. Our Annual Scientific Congress has established herself as the iconic and flagship educational program for cardiovascular professional from different disciplines in Hong Kong.
This year, we are going to produce again a high-quality and comprehensive program in cardiovascular medicine. Renowned international and local experts will connect to discuss the current update and controversies in cardiovascular medicine. The Organizing Committee is working hard to put together an attractive program composing of different theme-based symposia, joint sessions with international cardiac societies, abstract and case presentations, poster presentations, cardiology course for general practitioners and allied health cardiovascular symposium.
I would like to invite your active participation in the Congress by submitting abstracts and cases for presentation and competing for different prestigious awards. To encourage and recognize the participation and performance of young and budding cardiologists, we have launched various fellow-in-training awards for their outstanding presentation of abstracts and cases since last year.
Last but not least, international collaboration remains to be an important component in our Congress. This year, we will collaborate with the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology to produce 2 exciting joint sessions. I believe all participants would undoubtedly have an extremely enjoyable learning experience in Hong Kong.

Please submit your abstracts online via https://icc.eventsair.com/asc2020/abstract Please read the submission guidelines at the abstract submission website. Deadline for Abstract Submission: 20 April 2020 Notification of acceptance will be sent to presenters by email in May 2020. All presenters must register as delegate before 20 May 2020. Your presentation will NOT be included in the
final program if you fail to do so. Awards1. Best Paper Awards: Abstracts accepted for oral presentations will be shortlisted for the competition of
three Best Paper Awards, with one of them dedicated to the best paper presented by a Fellow-in-training. A cash prize of HK$3,000 and a trophy each will be awarded.
2. Best Cardiac Intervention Case Awards: Cases submitted will be shortlisted for the competition of three awards, with one of them dedicated to the best case presented by a Fellow-in-training. A cash prize of HK$3,000 and a trophy each will be awarded.
3. Best Clinical Cardiology Case Awards: Cases submitted will be shortlisted for the competition of three awards, with one of them dedicated to the best case presented by a Fellow-in-training. A cash prize of HK$3,000 and a trophy each will be awarded.
4. Best Poster Award with a cash prize of HK$3,000 and a trophy will be awarded to the top poster. A poster presentation session will be arranged during the Congress.

CANCELLATION POLICYCancellation of your registration should be made in writing to the Congress Secretariat. 50% of the registration fee will be refunded if the cancellation is received on or before 26 June 2020. There will be no refund for cancellations made after 26 June 2020.
