A MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF RISKY WOMAN

It’s been quite a year in our Risky Women® journey. We took on a whole new look and dressed ourselves up in red! With new energy and enthusiasm we continued to amplify the voices of our Risky Women across the globe.

Risky Women Radio went from strength to strength with 10 episodes in this, our secondseason. Nicola Wakefield Evans started Season 2 and spoke to us about managing riskat the Board level and how important Tone at the Top is for good governance and culture. Our speaker panel of talented and knowledgeable Risky Women continues to impress. The discussion and diversity of topics touch on the key challenges and opportunities forcompliance professionals. Once again, we had regulators join us, ending this seasonwith Sarah Hayes from London’s Financial Conduct Authority. It was also great to haveRuth Steinholtz talk about the important topic of ethics from the Singapore RegulatorySummit. Another treat was speaking to Yuko Kawai from the Bank of Japan in London.Yuko-san was a speaker at the Tokyo Regulatory summit in 2017, so it was lovely to catchup again and share her knowledge with our online audience.

RegTech continues its progress in providing solutions and driving innovation. Having TheReg Doctor, Sian Lewin and Joanna Jenkins from Railsbank talking about their focus andfuture developments in RegTech gave us the latest views. Other episodes featuredSaadia Mujeeb from Natwest Markets on Risk and the Credit Crunch, the fabulous AngieLau from Forkast News, and our sponsors at Thomson Reuters shared their report onthe growing regulatory perimeter with Senior Editor Rachel Wolcott. Financial Crimeremains a top issue and Refinitiv’s Sherry Madera shared how data can help in tacklingthe challenge. You will also get some top tips on what to watch, listen to and read sohave a listen!

Events were held in London, Singapore, Sydney and Toronto. We hosted our first RiskyWomen Roundtable and will use this more intimate discussion forum for future eventsallowing a boardroom style get together. Our partnerships continued and we lovedgetting together in London with our Power Women friends on ESG Investing. Our RiskyWomen sponsorship of TEDxTinHauWomen continued in Honk Kong for the second year.

Risky Women is now more than connecting and celebrating our women in risk andcompliance, we want to be a destination to inspire women and showcase and amplifyyour views, insights and opinions. We target an attitude and approach that is bothprofessional and fun. Through our ROAR newsletters, events and community platform,we are dedicated to helping our Risky Women connect, learn and lead. So get involved! Iwould love to hear your ideas.

Thank you for all your support and don’t forget to enter a 5 star review for Risky WomenRadio wherever you listen to podcasts!
