Annual General Meeting.
This as last year has seen plenty of
activities over the months - so -
Lets show you some of the events
& activities the Association has
been involved with in its 10th
Anniversary year.
Continuing our 10th Anniversary year

Main Meetings of all groups continued throughout the
year in June, October and February 2015.
Task and Finish Group.
I am the Chair of this group.
Ongoing meetings of the group throughout the year also.

Health, Safety and Risk Management in Social Care presented
for approval.
Meetings mainly held in London in cooperation with the offices
of the RCN.

HOWEVER- RSW 2015
HSE Catering Liaison Group.
NASHiCS is now represented by
me on this discussion group
involving safety in kitchen areas.
Additional Guidance Document.
RSW 2015
Both CFOA and NASHiCS recognise that the existing guidance issued in
January 2011 is still active but is now due for a review.
This document is now subject to a substantial review, where it will be
modernised and take into account emerging and forthcoming methods of
care within this sector.
This new guidance will in addition reflect any legal and fire incident
outcomes that have occurred and it is hoped will be re-published with a
target date of autumn 2015.

current Safety Information Portal (SIP) .
– Briefing notes series.
We are up to 25 since introduction in 2010.
Updated as information demands.

With the National Forum event successfully staged and
enjoyed by those who attended we came to the end of
our first 10 years of the Association.
It was a real joy to see a number of our past colleagues

unable to make the event.

Ever increasing cost of postage.
Bring the administration up to date.
National Executive agreed where possible all
communications, invoicing & renewal of membership
would be implemented electronically.
Membership cards open whilst fees are paid.
Only new member packs would be by print and post.

March 2015. Networker. Southampton was the venue for the first of a new series of
Networkers around the UK.

NASHiCS Anniversary 10 Year Book.
It is now at the printers so expect a
copy in the post during May.
The book looks at the events and
growth of NASHiCS over the 10 years
since its formal launch in 2004.
What else have we been doing?
e-News continues. Now 50th issue out today.
Since last AGM 11 Issues have been published.
Website. Continues to be updated and improved.
Been working on the prevention of spamming getting
into the site.

Survey to members to have their say on the NLDF.
The response was small but gave the
planning group views and suggested content.
