W as it a movie that resonated with your personal experience? Perhaps it was a documentary that challenged a

long-held belief. Or a foreign film that allowed you to appreciate the perspective of another culture. For me, there are more than I can count, and I always anticipate how the next film will engage me.

Film is transformative. Like all great art, film inspires us, challenges our world view, and sparks our imagination. Film can break down boundaries and promote dialogue. And yes, film also entertains!

Please help the Philadelphia Film Society share the transformative power of film by making a gift today!

As we enter our 25th year, your support is more vital than ever to help us share the transformative power of film, while sustaining Philadelphia’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary arts community.

Whatever amount you are able to give, you can feel great knowing that your donation will make a real difference.

$100 provides 10 movie tickets to underserved audiences who might not otherwise be able to enjoy the shared experience of film in a theater setting.

$250 pays for transportation for 50 children to participate in Student Screening Showcase which fosters curriculum-based critical thinking skills and promotes media literacy.

$500 supports Philadelphia’s local filmmakers by allowing PFS to screen their work and provide a forum for audience engagement.

$1,000 helps PFS bring visiting filmmakers and critics to screenings to provide Philadelphia audiences with a foundation and context for understanding film.

As you consider your gift, please take a moment to imagine the impact it will make.

What’s the first film that made a difference in your life?

PFS is dedicated to sharing the transformative power of film – both the difference it makes in individual lives, as well as the broader impact it has on our community. A great city demands a great film community, and we are proud to be the center of that community in Philadelphia.

And with our recent acquisition of the Prince Theater, PFS is providing a critical resource for Philadelphia’s broader arts community as well, offering much-needed rehearsal and performance space.

PFS has come a long way in the past 24 years and our journey has just begun! Please make a fully tax-deductible gift to PFS today and take the journey with us into our 25th year!

Thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing you at the movies!

Sincerely,

J. Andrew GreenblattExecutive Director
