YOUTH MINISTRY
First Friday in December: The Annual Youth Prayer Dinner will be held on Friday, December 5th from 7-9 pm in the Grain of Heaven for 6th thru 12th graders. Dressy attire is required for this event. Jeans and tennis shoes are not allowed. Also, youth are asked to participate in the Youth Canned Food Drive Contest to fight hunger in the community. The top 6 winners will receive a prize. Canned goods should be brought to the prayer dinner. Sign up in the Narthex on Nov. 16, 23 or 30 to attend the prayer dinner and to participate in the Canned Food Drive. Youth Bible Study in Teen Tabernacle: “Living Out the Teachings of Jesus” is the general theme for our Wednesday night study which begins at 8pm. This week’s class will focus on “Living in a Material World.” Come and learn how to do the right thing for the right reason. Discover what Jesus had to say about money. Youth Sunday Worship Participants Needed: All FMZ Youth have an oppor-tunity and an occasion to serve. Please contact Rev. THE MONEY SMART MINISTRY How To: Social Media: This month’s workshop will be a how-to session on the social media platform, LinkedIn. Come to a discussion on why and how to use LinkedIn to promote yourself and your business. LinkedIn is a great platform to use to estab-lish yourself as an expert in your field, whether you are a job-seeker, business owner or simply seeking higher online visibil-ity. You will learn how to set up and maintain your account, and much much more! Our goal is to empower all members to be better stewards of God’s money, by sharing in “Hands-On” money management techniques through interactive classroom activities. The mission of the Journey to Joy Grief and Support Ministry is to provide grief and sup-port services for members of First Mount Zion Baptist Church and the surrounding community. ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP
The AEM Annual Scholarship Workshop is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, imme-diately following the 11 o'clock service in the Choir Room. All 2015 graduating high school seniors who are members of FMZ are invited to attend. Parents are also invit-ed to attend. Instructions will be presented as to how to apply for the FMZ scholarship along with other opportunities for financial aid. Don't be left out! ACADEMIC EDUCATION MINISTRY
A College visit to Morgan State Universi-
ty and Georgetown University has been
scheduled for Tuesday, 11 Nov 2014 for
First Mount Zion Baptist Church stu-
dents. This will give the students an op-
portunity to tour a college campus and
receive information about going to col-
lege. Departure time is 8am and return
time is 4:30pm. A snack will be provided;
however students should bring $10 for

SPIRITUAL GIFTS MINISTRY
The Spiritual Gifts Ministry is conducting its "Fall Session" workshop on Saturday, November 22nd from 8:30 am -1:00 pm. through December 7th. Books collected
will be donated to The Reading Work-
shop which promotes early childhood
literacy for children age 4-11 and serves
a substantial segment of children from
disadvantaged neighborhoods and
