If interested call or text Pastor Larry @ 304-552-6196. “Finally Free” Ladies' Conference – 10/29 Wildwood Church of God in Ashland, KY is hosting a "Finally Free" conference with recording artist and author, Kim Tabor on Saturday, October 29th. We have purchased 24 tickets. The cost is $30.00. The first 24 women to pay the registration fee will receive the tickets. Holy Grounds Seniors Discipleship Group This exciting group meets on Thursdays at 10AM in the main lobby in the church. They will soon start a new 12-week study on Ruth & Esther. CWC “Women’s Bean Project” – Taking orders NOW! CWC members are selling Bean Soup Mixes, Bread Mixes, Cookie Mixes, Dip Mixes and Spice Rubs in an effort to raise funds for their scholarship fund which assists college students attending a Church of God college. All products are made by unemployed or impoverished women who participate in “The Bean Project” to train them for jobs. See Chris Turley or any CWC member to place your order. There is a table in the west lobby with representatives to help you after each service. All orders are due by September 7th. Back to Church Sunday – 9/18 September 18th is "National Back to Church" Sunday across America. We encourage you to invite friends or family that may have stopped coming to church to join you on September 18th. Park and Ride for "Door to Door" Service We encourage second service attenders to start parking at the Park and Ride to make more room in our lot for those God is sending our way. Our shuttle will run from 10:15AM until 12:20PM on Sundays. Drop your family at the church and then head to the Park and Ride. Our driver will take you to the church doors for easy drop-off. (I hear there is stand-up comedy on the bus as well! Take your phone/camera to capture all of the fun!)

Voices of Praise Sanctuary Choir Practices Resume Today! Voices of Praise, our adult worship choir, resumes rehearsal today at 4PM in the sanctuary. See Pastor Mandy with questions! New Small Group / War Room Bible Study – Tonight! Judy Combs will be leading a study in her home beginning with a time of food and fellowship tonight. They will be watching “War Room” on Sunday September 11th at 6PM and then doing a 6-week study. This group will meet at 1023 Gordon Drive in South Charleston. All are welcome. DivorceCare – 8/31 DivorceCare begins next Wednesday August 31st at 6:30PM. If you or someone you know is going through the pain of separation or divorce, please consider DivorceCare. The workbook fee $15 and classes are free. Man Up! Stronger Men, Stronger Families, Stronger Communities– 9/7 Man Up! Is our men’s group that is starting Wednesday, September 7th at 7PM. Newcomer Lunch – 9/11 If you are new to TVCOG and have never attended a Newcomer Lunch we invite you to be our guest for lunch after the second service on Sunday, September 11th. Prayer Group – Beginning 9/21 Wednesdays at noon beginning September 21st will be a weekly time of prayer for the success of the “Come Together” campaign. Please join as we make prayer our priority in this campaign. Men’s Canaan Valley Annual Golf Outing – 9/22-9/24 All men are welcome to attend this year’s golf trip to Canaan Valley. Community Chili Supper, Carnival & Hayrides– 9/25 On Sunday, September 25th from 4-7PM we will be having a free chili dinner for our community on Teays Valley Acres. Let us know how you can serve! Fishing Fellowship – 10/1 Our first Fishing Fellowship has been scheduled for Saturday, October 1st at Cave Run Lake in Morehead, KY from 8AM until 4PM. If you have a boat that you can bring, or you can rent a boat from the Scott Creek Marina, (606) 784-9666, Jon Boats are $60, Single pontoons are $150 and Double-decker pontoons are $235. The Garage Student Ministries Free Concert! 9/4 Rock the Valley 2016 is coming to Valley Park on September 4th from 6PM-9PM. Come experience Christian rock, pop, and alternative music from Render the Hearts and Torn in Two, both bands out of Huntington. Donations will be accepted for Heart & Hand, A community development outreach. Youth Pastor Candidate Weekend – 9/17-18 We are thrilled to announce that we have a youth pastor candidate coming in the weekend of Sept 17th and 18th to candidate. He currently serves a Church of God in Michigan. He and his wife have three children, two boys and a girl. They are 9, 8, and 4 respectively. He is a devoted Christ-follower, gifted speaker, experienced and relational leader and passionate worshiper and drummer. His lovely wife is an RN and is currently employed at a hospital on the Labor and Delivery floor. Be watching for details next week on events that will provide you with opportunities to meet him and get acquainted. His resume' can be found on the Welcome Desk. We will have a special called business meeting on Wednesday, September 21st to vote to call him to come. I believe God's call and anointing are on this individual's life. ~Pastor Melissa See You at the Pole – 9/28 See You at the Pole is an annual gathering of thousands of Christian students at a flag pole in front of their local school for prayer, scripture reading and worship. We support our students and ask that you pray for them as they stand up for their faith. Times to be determined. “Saw” You at the Pole! Calling all 6th-12th graders! – 9/28 Join us on Wednesday night, September 28th for a special youth event at TVCOG. Free dinner will be served beginning at 5:45PM and group fun will begin at 6:30PM! Christmas Musical December 4th! Mark your calendars! We are so excited about this year’s Christmas program and we are looking for kids Pre-school through 8th grade to participate in the production of “3 Wise Men and a Baby.” Please mark your blue card with their name and grade if they want to participate.
