1.3. What are the likely impacts of the proposed activity on the existing facilities adjacent to

the proposed site? (Such as open spaces, community facilities, details of the existing landuse,

disturbance to the local ecology).

No impact on adjacent facilities due to proposed development. All required pollution control

equipments in the proposed facility to control liquid, solid and air pollutant parameters.

1.4 Will there be any significant land disturbance resulting in erosion, subsidence & instability?

(Details of soil type, slope analysis, vulnerability to subsidence, seismicity etc. may be given).

No significant land disturbance as the site is flat land. As per the Seismic Zoning Map of India,

Kolhapur region falls under Zone-II. Stability Certificate, as per prevalent IS Code will be

obtained for these buildings from registered Consulting Structural Engineer considering the

seismic forces and wind forces etc.

1.5 Will the proposal involve alteration of natural drainage systems? (Give details on a contour

map showing the natural drainage near the proposed project site)

For building structure there will not be any alteration in existing natural drainage systems.

Excavation in the form of rubble and soil. Part of this soil and rubble will be used

for back filling and remaining material will be disposed within the site.

Give details regarding water supply, waste handling etc during the construction period.

During Construction Phase -

• Approximate 20 KLD water is required for proposed construction during construction phase.

Water will be utilized from existing source and it will be well within consented quantity.

• Sewage will be treated in Sewage treatment plant and reused for gardening/horticulture. And it

will well within demand.

• Non Hazardous waste generated from the construction is reused predominantly for filling and

compaction of site.

There is no low laying area and wetlands are available in the existing site which is going to be

affected due to the project

Excavated material will be generated as mentioned below; same would be used within premises

for land leveling.

Nominal dust level is expected during the construction phase. Proper measures such as sprinkling

of water on the ground and new construction will be done at regular intervals to reduce the

spreading of the dust particles.

Wastes generated by Construction labor-

Biodegradable garbage = 20m3 /day

Non-biodegradable garbage = NIL

Total : 20 m3 /day

The total quantities of Non-biodegradable waste generated in the project will be disposed off

through existing authorized contractor.

2. WATER ENVIRONMENT

2.1. Give the total quantity of water requirement for the proposed project with the breakup of

requirements for various uses. How will the water requirement be met? State the sources

& quantities and furnish a water balance statement.

Water Requirement & Sources :

For Construction : From MIDC

MIDC: 20 KLD (depending upon the activity).

During Operational Phase -

Total Water Requirement. :

For Domestic : 13 m3/ day.

For Gardening : 34m3/ day.

For processing : 23 m3/ day

Total Water Requirement: 87 m3 /day.

(When sewage Treatment Plants will run in the full-fledged condition treated water is reused for

flushing, paint shop & gardening. So that extra load on the MIDC water supply system will be

reduced)



Net water Demand from local water supply body will be 47 m3 /day only.

• Water demand for fire fighting is one time and occasional. Therefore water requirement for fire

fighting has not been considered while calculating daily water requirement.
