Annexation Appeals Heard This Week

The appeal of a group of West Hurley residents. protesting the annexation of West Hurley to Onteora central school was scheduled for Thursday of this week before the state commissioner of education in Albany. The Wood- stock protest petition was to be heard today, Friday.

In the event the appeals are not sustained, Mr. Moehle said that integration of Woodstock, West Hurley, Morgan Hill and Spillway schools with Onteora would probably be completed by June 30. The orders to integrate Morgan Hill and Spillway schools were not put to a referendum.

Mr. Moehle said that tentative plans have been drawn for bus and classroom schedules to teike effect in September if the annexations are upheld by the commissioner. In anticipation that the order will be upheld, pupils from the West Hurley school have made orientation visits to ^he Onteora building at Boiceville. Woodstock pupils have also been invited.

Three OCS board members met recently with the Morgan Hill board to work out details of integration.
