Day1–ArriveinKathmanduWelcometoNepal!Kathmanduisamesmerisingkaleidoscopeofcolour,sightsandsmells–anenchantingmixthatwillenticeyoutodiscoveritsvibrantmarkets,ancienttemples,bustlingstreetsandwelcoming,friendlylocals.You’lleasilyseewhytheentireKathmanduValleyisaUNESCOWorldHeritageSiteandisacityandexperienceyou’llneverforget!

Day2–GuidedTouroftheKathmanduValley
Weexplorethreeculturallydiverseandvisuallystunningtempleswithinthecity.HighonahilltopaboveKathmanduisthemagnificentSwayambutinath(“MonkeyTemple”),usedbybothHindusandBuddhists,andknownforitsmanyholymonkeys!AlongthebanksoftheBagmatiRiverliesPashupatinath,atempledevotedtoLordShiva.ItisthemostimportantHindusiteinNepalandpilgrimsfromallovertheworldcometoshowtheirfaith.AwayfromthecitycentreisthepeacefulandimpressiveBodhnathStupa.Everydaythousandsofpeopledescenddailytoshowtheirdevotionandrespect.
Day3–DrivetoPokhara(6hours)
Todaywe'llleavethebustleofthecapitalbehindus,andventuretowardsthefoothillsoftheHimalaya.ThedrivetakesuswestastheroadfollowsthemightyTrisuli
River,reachingthepleasantlakesidetownofPokhara.Hereyou'llseeyourfirstglimpseoftheiconicmountainsthatawaityouonyourtrektotheAnnapurnaBaseCampandSanctuary.
ArrivingintheafternoonyouwillhavetimetoexplorePokhara.AnafternoonboattripinPhewaTalishighlyrecommended.
Day4–DrivetoNayapulthenTrektoUlleri(2073m)4to5hourstrekking
OurtrekstartsinearnesttodayasashortdrivetakesustothetrailheadinNayapul.Thetrailtakesusfromajeeptrackandnarrowsintoafootpathfollowingthesparklingmountainstreamsthatoriginatefromthemightierglacialrivershighabove.Thesewaterwayssupportthelushvegetationthatsurroundsthisroute,fromthedenseforeststothecultivatedfieldsthatprovidefoodforthehilltopresidents.Thetrailisundulatingbeforeweconquerthe3100handlaidcobbledstepsthatleadthewayintoUlleri.Achallenging,butveryworthyfirstday.
Day5–TrekfromUlleritoGhorepani(2856m)6hourstrekking
LeavingfromUlleriweascendonidyllicpathwayssurroundedbyfertileforest,dottedwithwaterfallsandsplashesofvibrantrhododendronsandwildHimalayanflowers.Localshaveusedthesetrailstodeliverandtradegoodsfromvillagetovillage,farawayfromanyroadsforcenturies.We'llreachtheancientsettlementofGhorepanibymid-afternoonandwe'llbetreatedtothestunningviewsofthemammothAnnapurnaSouththroughouttheday.
Day6–GhorepanitoTadapaniviaPoonHill(2625m)7.5to9hourstrekking
Atruehighlightofthewholetrek,we'vegotapre-dawnstarttoascendPoonHill(3210m)foraglorioussunriseview.A360-degreepanoramicmasterpieceawaitsusastheearlyrayskissthepeaksoftheAnnapurnaMassif

andDhaulagirirange.FromPoonHillthetrailcontinuespastanarrayofbamboo,pineandoakforestalonganundulatingtrail,whichweavesitswaythroughmeanderingstreams.ThesoundswildlifeandrushofwateraccompaniesusasweascendtothevillageofTatopaniforthenight.
Day7–TatopanitoChhomrong(2020m)5.5to6hourstrekking
Thetrailcontinuesthroughlushterrainwithaseeminglyendlessforestofrhododendron,coupledwithsteep,dramaticterracedfieldsgrowingavarietyoffreshproduce,including;rice,maizepotatoesandbuckwheat.Thetrekleadsusmostlydownhill,pastfertilevalleys,waterfallsandacrosssuspensionbridgestoChhomrong,wherewe'llspendthenight.StunningviewsofAnnapurnaSouthandtheunclimbedholypeak,Machhapucharearevisiblethroughouttheday.
Day8–ChhomrongtoDovan(2580m)5to6hourstrekking
Passthroughterracedfarmland,forestsofbambooandacrossmultiplesuspensionbridgestothevillageofDovan.Forthemostpartthetraildescends,beforeafinalascenttoDovan.
Day9–DovantoDeurali(3230m)3.5–4hourstrekking
Todayisarelativelyshortdaytrekkingtoaccountforthealtitude.Asweascendthroughthejungleandbambooforestswe'llleavethisbehindandenterintoamorerugged,alpinesetting.Theopenvalleysgiveyouaglimpseofthesnowfallwhichispresentonthenorthernslopesofthemountains.AswegainaltitudetheviewsoftheAnnapurnaMassifbecomeevermoreimpressive.
Day10–DeuralitoMachhapuchhareBaseCamp(3700m)3hourstrekking
Todaywillbringusintotheofficialandawe-inspiringAnnapurnaSanctuary.Thesanctuaryisamagnificentglacialandnaturalamphitheatresurroundedbysomeoftheworld'shighestpeaks,includingAnnapurnaI,AnnapurnaIIandthebeautifulMachhapuchhare,alsoknownas"FishTailMountain."
We'llspendthenightatMachhapuchhareBaseCamp-anamingmisnomer,asthepeakhasneverbeensummited,duetoitsholystatureasasacredplacefortheHinduGod,Shiva.Althoughnoonehasgonetothesummit,ithasactuallybeenclimbedbyBritishmountaineer,WilfridNoycefromthe1953Everestteam,whomturnedaround150feetshyofthesummitoutofrespect.
Day11–MachhapuchhareBaseCamptoAnnapurnaBaseCamp(4131m)3hourstrekking
AsweleaveMachhapuchhareBaseCampwe'llascendintotheclimaxandhighlightofourjourney,aswereachthewondrousgroundsofAnnapurnaBasecamp,situatedbeneaththetoweringwallofAnnapurna'ssouthface.
Fromhereyou'llalsobeabletoseetheveryboldrouteuptheAnnapurnasouthfacecompletedsolobytalentedspeedalpinistUeliSteckinanalmostunbelievable28-hourpush.Incomparison,thefirstacensionistsonthesouthface,ledbyBritishmountaineer,SirChrisBonnington,tookweekstoreachthesummit!

Day12–AnnapurnaBaseCamptoSinuwa(2340m)8hourstrekking
AfteranearlymorningviewingofthemountainpeaksglowinginthedawnlightwewilltrekbacktoSinuwa,withthememoryofallthatwehavewitnessedstillinourminds.
Day13–SinuwatoJhinuDanda(2170m)3.5hourstrekking
FromSinuwait'safurtherdescentandareturntomorelushsurroundingsofforest,wildHimalayanflowersandterracedhillsides.After12daysoftrekkinginthehighHimalayawe'llreachthewelcomingnaturalhotspringsofJhinuDanda.Withanendlesssupplyofhotwaterthisistheperfectplacetorelaxandsoakintheatmosphere.

Day14–JhinuDandatoNayapul(1070m)thenDrivebacktoPokhara(884m)6to6.5hourstrekking
TodaywecompleteourtrekwithadescentbacktoNayapul.FromherewedrivebacktoPokharawhereyouwilltheopportunitytoexploreyoursurroundings,purchasesouvenirsorsimplyrelaxwithabeer.Pokharaisafantasticplacetounwindafteryourtrek!
Day15–JeepdrivetoKathmandu
WereturntoKathmandufollowingthegorgeoftheTrisuliRiver,arrivinginKathmanduintheafternoon.WanderaroundthemedievalDurbarSquareintheheartofthecity,samplesomeNewaricuisine,orshopforsomelocallymadehandicraftsandsouvenirs.Wewillhaveagroupfarewelldinnerintheeveningatalocalrestaurant.
Day16–Departforhome
