TREK OVERVIEW:

The entire massif and surrounding area ofthe trek are protected within the 7629sqkm Annapurna Conservation Area, whichis the first and largest conservation area inNepal.

The basecamp is surrounded by majesticAnnapurna I, Annapurna South and Mt.Machapuchere.

The lodges during the trek are excellentlyequipped with extensive western & localfood Manu and cosy bedding, making thetrek a pleasant and a memorableexperience.

This trek involves around 50 Km of walkingand the duration is usually around 9 days. Youwould be walking from the altitude of 5000feet to 13450 feet.

COST DETAILS:The cost mentioned will take care of the expenses from Kathmandu till you are back to Kathmandu from the trek. The total cost is INR 47500/- + GST at actual

FITNESS GUIDELINES:

All participants above 14 years are eligible to apply for this trek. Participant sizewill be max 14.

Annapurna Base Camp is one of the safest of the treks. Safest means, all facilitieslike excellent food, accommodation, first aid, to a certain extent communicationand also chopper arrangements are easily available in case of emergency. Butthis does not obviate the fact that one needs to go through fairly considerableamount of fitness regime. As mentioned above, we will share a ‘last 2 monthtraining module’ with you once you register with us. But you must hit the trailwith some basic jogging, cycling etc. as soon as the thought of ABC trek looms inyour mind.

HOW TO REGISTER:You can register for this trek throughout the year. The initial booking has tobe done before 3 months of the reporting date. Following are simple stepsfor registration.Step 1 – RegistrationPlease fill up online enrolment form for registering with GGIM. This is aonetime registration. If you have already filled up this form, you need notfill up unless there are any changes to be made. Medical and Indemnitybond needs to be downloaded and hardcopies to be submitted to GGIMoffice. Indemnity bond should be printed on a stamp paper of Rs 500 andshould be notarized by a legal practitioner. In case the participant is below16 years, parent’s and school principal’s consent letters are required. Pleasenote that indemnity bond is a onetime document for GGIM activities for alladults above 18 years.Once you complete the registration, please make the payment of the trekfees by either of the ways mentioned in the next page. DO WRITE US AMAIL INTIMATING CONFIRMATION OF PAYMENT OF FEES WITHTRANSACTION DETAILS.

Cancellation Policy –In case of any unavoidable reason if you happen to cancel your booking, please send the cancellation request through email. Rs. 15,000/- will be deducted and balance amount will be refunded, if cancellation is made 30 or more days prior to the reporting date of your selected batch. Rs. 25,000/- will be deducted and balance amount will be refunded, if cancellation is made 15 to 30 days prior to the reporting date of your selected batch. FAQs:1) Do I need special equipment or special training to do this trek?No2) Which is the best season for this trek?Except monsoon in Nepal between June to August & Winter – November to January all seasons are equally good.3) Should I carry rain gear along with me?Yes Recommended. Due to local weather rains are4) What kind of accommodation is available on route?Neat & clean Tea houses & lodges are available till ABC. Most of them are twin sharing basis.5) What kind of food available on the route?Variety of local & continental food options are available on route. Rice & dal are available at all locations. Taste might differ as compared to Indian food. You may carry local spices, flavours if required.6) What level of practice is required for this trek?Though ABC is not very strenuous trek, it involves walking at altitude, so it isrecommended to undergo medical test before trek & follow basicrecommended practice schedule at least two months before the trek. At manylocations Trek involves climbing over stairs, so it is important to include stepsclimbing in the practice along with jogging or brisk walking & hill climbing.7) Do I need to carry sleeping bag or down jacket for this trek?There is no need of special purpose sleeping bags & down jackets. Beddings areprovided at each location & basic warm layers (fleece jackets/sweaters) along withwind proof jackets are sufficient. Carry additional warm layers if you wish to staymore at ABC tea house.8. Do we get to stay at Annapurna Base Camp?No. You can only visit the basecamp, take pictures and come back to Deorali campsame day.
